Was Ridley just too good tonight or are these guys not as good as we thought? Stoops seems frustrated with them.

I think they get to much cushion. Bama was catching balls in front of them. Both corners are at least 6'3". We should make the opposing QB throw over them

It's hard on the DB's when the dline isn't getting a push. In the 2nd half Hurts had all day to throw

Ive always thought there has been so much struggle in the front 7 it puts the secondary in a tough spot. Think the first handful of games there was a lack of trust between the 2 groups that caused big plays to happen on the backside. The more comfortable they become with each other the better they should play id hope

Calvin Ridley might be the best wide receiver in college football. More importantly, Hurts had all day in the pocket. If you give a good quarterback 4-5 seconds to throw, no cornerback in the country has a chance against a receiver like Ridley. I also have some questions about whether Coach Clinkscale teaches fundamentals and game preparation as well as Ansley.

Doesn't look that way so far.

I've been disappointed with the secondary all year thus far. Even against equal talent (or less), the secondary has played soft too often, busted coverages too many times and given away a ton of yardage on easy 'cushion' throws. DL hasn't put much pressure on the QBs thus far but, even against USC, where there was plenty of pressure, our secondary gave up some really big plays against an offense that is severely challenged, especially throwing the ball.

Way to much cushion. They were taking the deep pass away but Ridley is a threat in any route.

Baity is doing a solid job and is a competitor. Westry lines way off and stays in back pedal and teams just throw right in front of him all day in games. Chris has really had a bad year for some reason
