More OT: Yesterday in my news feed they were celebrating that 30 states now have gas prices under $3 a gallon heading into the Thanksgiving holiday. Then I drove past a local gas station and our price is $3.52 per gallon!

Maricopa county (Phoenix) has some extra gasoline standards to reduce smog so we are never going to be as low as Oklahoma. But the other big issue is we get our fuel mainly from refineries in California, which are high cost. I keep reading the oil companies are trying to hook us up to Texas as our source, but so far it hasn't happened.

A good resource if you are into fuel prices is AAA. The have an interactive map with the latest prices by state and by county if you are interested. Of course, California is the highest, even higher than Hawaii, is anyone surprised?

Said the boy is pretty neglected.

Towards the end of the conversation she said something about how the Mom was able to buy herself a house, and she's living at home with her parents. Sounded a little jealous. I didn't sleep well that night, haha.

Report the "stripper" and her neglect to DYFS (or the Colo name )

And change babysitters. A family (kid with us) night out for us when we were saving money for a house downpayment = night out at a Pizza Hut with a pie and pitcher of Pepsi !

Listened to Governor Biggs (I hope) a month ago. A new pipeline from Texas is the best hope for Arizona. There are no refineries in Arizona and no one wants to start a many billion dollar project which could take a decade plus to complete. The current pipelines are maxed out and with loony California closing refineries, Arizona is in a tough spot.

Meeting the New Zealand athlete of the 20th century Peter Snell is cool as hell. 3 time Olympic champion and 2 time mile world record holder is amazing. Competing against him in an orienteering meet is also awesome. Beating him in orienteering, not an accomplishment since he was 65-70 or so at the time.

Maybe if you stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight you can be Peter Snell.

It’s your snickering little giggles at all of our posts that’s irritating. You clutch your feelings in the face of facts and complain when you get called out. Nobody wants to have discussions with weenies like you. And you complain to the mods about name-calling and “personal attacks” while you do exactly what you whine about (and what self-respecting man complains to moderators anyway???). It can be a challenge to determine if a Disney movie is just telling a good story or are they also trying to include some messaging to "educate" us.

1) I've read a number of audience reviews this morning for Zootopia 2 and they barely mention messaging, they just say it is fun and entertaining. It looks like it is going to be a hit.

2) here is part of a whopper from a critic's review they link to (most critics don't talk much about messaging):

"Zootopia 2 is about the need to recognize that some ethnic groups were erased from the history books, while those in power claimed their social contributions as their own. Quite often, this blatant theft of intellectual resources uses racism as a tool, feeding widespread prejudice as a justification for criminal actions. Because of that, reparation can only happen once these historical injustices are brought to light and the rightful owners of stolen resources and lands are granted what they lost centuries ago. This is no simple subject, but Zootopia 2 does a good job simplifying it through a colorful and fun storyline that anyone can follow, even children. If some of the minutiae get lost in the process, so be it; it’s better to have a conversation starter than keep hiding real-life problems from the younger members of the family."

My conclusion is people see whatever themes are in their minds when going to a movie and Zootopia has animals who are all different and the setting is a police department ....

Most critics and audience reviews just talk about a fun and entertaining movie. I will try to see it someday as I would like to see for myself. Most likely on Disney+
