Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!

It will be a mixed day for me today. I'll be going to my parents (3.5 hr drive) with a big crowd (I'm the oldest of 8). We expect about 45 there. However, my wife will stay home. She still can't eat most foods and has reactions to many fumes. I'll go early to my parents and try to rush back to be with her this evening. She is seeing some improvements but doesn't want to risk anything with acupuncture needles in right now.

The team got off to a slow start but pay attention to when we made our run. The lineup of Moreno surrounded by 4 shooters Chandler, Johnson, Kam (just a matter of time) Williams, and Noah made a 14-1 run and looked great. In the second half substitute Johnson with Aberdeen and we went on a 10-0 run. I love how Moreno has played all year. But, here comes N. Carolina and their 4 corner offense....dang that Coach Smith. lol I may harbor some Ill feelings from almost 50 years ago.

Enjoy your day everyone!
Hope your wife does well.

Happy Black Friday folks, for those of you who celebrate that tradition. I wouldn't go within 50 miles of a store today - except the Christmas Tree yard where I'm heading soon.

I hope you all had a very nice Thanksgiving. We did, though it was a small one. But my kids who couldn't travel to see me were happy with those they spent the day with, so a good day all around.

Even got to see Joe Burrow survive a whole game and the Bengals beat the Ravens. Believe me, that matters when you live in Maryland and are the only Bengals fan in a broad circle of friends and colleagues and former co-workers.

Good morning everyone.

I survived our Thanksgiving and the 7 hours on the road. My family T-giving had 46 there. Full number if no one is missing is now up to 51. Our great niece (almost 5) came over and spent the night so wife is happy.

N. Carolina loses yesterday. Now let's give them 2 in a row.

Oh, there's a football game before the tar holes game.

Happy Saturday folks. Big day for the Cats. I’m certainly hoping for a win over Louisville, and am fairly confident given all the Card injuries.

that means a 6-6 record, half the wins over cupcakes. A nothing Bowl appearance and Stoops declares the season —blown out six times in eight SEC games —a big success.

Got the Christmas Tree yesterday. A real beauty. Hope you all are easing into The Season.

Md, OM & TX did not blow us out. Good chance to have beaten TX.

I guess I was wrong about that, and also my prediction that a Stoops-coached team would come out and play with pride, energy and intelligence against a hated rival with four backs and their best receiver out with injuries.
Yep. The defense made a WR and a walk-on freshman look like the two best RB’s in the country.

Good morning folks.

Rainy and cold in the east. Going to tough out a hike anyway.

Utter embarrassment and humiliation for Kentucky football yesterday. Elmer Fudd Stoops ain't going to catch the Wabbit, he's just too dense and lazy. And insisting that there is "Zero Percent chance" he'll do the honorable thing and negotiate a reasonable departure, rather than hold up UK for the full $38 million buyout in the idiotic contract Barney Fife Barnhart gave him just makes me loath him more.

When you go back to hiring Joker Phillips as "head coach in waiting," and Billy Clyde Gillispie to run the basketball program, has there ever been an AD as bad as Mitch? Even one of the decent football seasons nullified for cheating. Any competent AD would have fired Stoops then, or after the Texas A&M fiasco, where apparently he agreed to accept that job before it was withdrawn after their fans rejected him.

With the hoops team struggling too, it is a grim time for UK sports. I have to admit I've reached an age where I just shrug and go on. Not going to let it dampen my Christmas season even one percent. Turned off the game yesterday, decorated our tree and watched the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim as Scrooge, and all was well.

Hope you all have having a great Sunday.

At 68, my hair is still completely brown although my wife says she can see a strand or two of grey here and there. My beard however is completely grey. Some people think I color my hair, but I tell them if I did, I would color my beard too. They then normally ask why it (the beard) is grey and my hair is not. I simply tell them because my wife says I use my mouth more than I use what is up top so, my head is not wore out yet.

Good morning folks.

Well, it looks like Stoops is gone. Very glad to hear that. Now we have to trust Barney had a plan and isn’t just scrambling after waiting so long that Sumrall and some of the others that our self-anointed football experts wanted have already been hired elsewhere. That said, I’ve been ready to try anything for a couple years now. How much worse can it get than being dominated by Vanderbilt and humiliated by Louisville?

Cold and gray morning. Busy work day ahead so I’m trying to squeeze in an early walk. Have a good Monday, folks.

Stoops is gone? Whoooooo! Hoooooo!

Morning D-Leaguers!

This feels like a much-needed win. This should make the Monday dull drums not seem so bad.

Wife starts her new job today for much less pay (over half less) but hopefully a lot less stress. That is the promise of the new contractor. She has been off for the last 2 weeks and is somewhat reenergized.

God Bless you all and be safe out there.

P.S. What happened to BBUK? Did I miss something?

His last post was a short one that could be taken as a good-bye post. I wondered at the time but hoped I was wrong. Haven't seen him since. Miss him.

At 66, what little I had left had been white for 5-6 years. Mitch is getting his brown artificially.
I went to get a haircut a few weeks ago. I sat there watching white hair hit the floor.....WTH! I am a mere lad of 71 yrs........my auburn hair is skipping right over to white.......WTH! What beard I have, has been grey/white for twenty years......my chest started turning grey in my early twenties.......does any of it really matter...............

78 here. Don't have enough hair left to bother with a barber. 😁 Run Clippers over the head for a few minutes ever week or two for a couple of minutes.

I'm happy with the new FB HC choice. I know little about him, but he's had good results where he's been and he's fresh on the scene. We needed a change bad. Congratulations, Will Stein !!

Also, this doesn't seem to have ben a spur of the moment decision. Appears we had been in contact with him several weeks back.
