See, this is the difference between MSU and OM. They do very well with recruiting every year-even on a down year. Is it because they cheat? Of course it is. But everyone else cheats, too. With that said- OM does it better than us. They are more coordinated and their fans move in the same direction. They care about bringing in solid talent every year. Do they get upset when they miss out on someone? Yep. They sure do and usually, they do something about it. Many of our fans, such as yourself, sit here and play the "it doesn't mean ****" card. Well, yes- actually it means a lot. Do you want to bring in Croomesque type talent every year and be ******? Or do you want to bring in solid talent every year and compete? Now don't get me wrong, we have done very well the last few years IMO. We still have a great class this year, but don't be so damn quick to call people out when they get upset about losing someone. If you don't care, then by all means- continue to call people out and try to look like a hero. But for those of us that are serious about MSU football moving towards the next level, we will get concerned and stay in tune to who we are bringing in to continue building our program.
Now, to those of you who are in full meltdown mode over losing one guy. Why don't you try not acting like a bunch of 17ing pompus asses. Perhaps our fans should try and work in a joined effort in figuring out how to stop losing long-time commits to OM. Don't sit there and trash talk a recruit because he flips. Wish the kid luck. Then try figuring out what went wrong and help move forward. I know a thread was locked on this earlier in the week (surprise surprise), but social media plays a very important role these days in recruits. If you are a member of twitter, check out how the beat writers re-tweet recruits messages. Those kids love that ****. And if any of you don't believe that they cruise the message boards, then you are a fool. They read this **** all the time. Try not acting like a bunch of 17ing idiots.
