storm their home field after beating Louisville? Nope
EDIT: I have read in response to my original post that Clemson fans storming the field is something done after every game. I was not aware the Clemson fans were allowed to rush the field after every home win. I guess the ACC does not impose the progressively stiffer penalties like the SEC does for similar occurrences.
Regardless, I never thought I would witness a University of Louisville football team play so well in such a big game against a very good team in its home stadium. I despise every atom that makes up Louisville athletic teams but I am forced to begrudgingly acknowledge that this Louisville team plays excellent and exciting football. Lamar Jackson is supremely talented and makes it incredibly difficult for opposing teams to defend against Louisville's offense. However, UL's defense has demonstrated it can compete against quality offenses.
The Louisville players, on both sides of the ball, play with a lot of confidence. Finally, as much as it sickens me to say it, Petrino continues to demonstrate he is one hell of a coach. If I didn't detest Louisville so much, I would be a fan of this year's team. They are sure fun to watch. As it is, watching Louisville play just makes me seethe with jealously and to wonder what might have been, had Mitch hired Petrino 4 years ago.
