DOES THE SCORE OF THE PROVI GAME REALLY SUPRISE YOU ?

Washington dominated the game, and deserved to win. I do not mean to diminish their effort, or results - but I think we need to keep this in perspective though.

Provi has lost 4 of their last 5 games (one by forfeit), but in those other 3 games they scored a total of 10 points. NOT an average of 10 - but 10 total points in 3 games! It is tough to win if you can't score.

Congrats to the team for making the playoffs - but before we start expecting them to roll through the playoffs just because they are in "The Catholic League" let's look at who they beat to get to those 5 wins. How many total wins did the teams they beat have? If past performance is an indicator of what you were expecting tonight, you shouldn't be surprised with the outcome.

Provi has a lot of younger players, at key positions, and I'm sure they will bounce back in the future. This isn't the time to get down on the coaching staff. Be happy they made the playoffs, and had the opportunity to extend the season - if only for 1 game.

This is playoffs and anything can happen. Your a fool if you think there’s a 5-4 team that doesn’t have a chance to win.

I won't be surprised at what happens tonight either way. Any team in the playoffs has done something right to get there. The only "advice" I gave was to encourage the fans not to get down on the coaches, and to be glad they were in the playoffs.

I just wasn't buying into your thoughts (on Pigskin Preview) of Washington / Provi game being an indicator as to what would happen between Metamora and JCA tonight. If I misunderstood your intent, I apologize in advance.

Hoping for a competitive game tonight.

I am surprised with the score.

I thought Washington would win, but a 35-0 blowout was unexpected. If anyone on this board in the know (from either side) were touting a 35-0 score they would have been laughed off the board. Am I right?

If there is anyone out there who was holding back and truly believed Provi would lose by 5 scores, please step forward so we can acknowledge and congratulate your pre-game insight. I don't think anyone will step forward. No one was expecting that.

Health of Metamora QB could be a big key.

Coaching is just as big a part of a game as execution is for the players. Players have been out played and coaches have been out coached, it is fair to talk about those things when analyzing a win or a loss. It’s also our opinions which makes up these posts. If anyone is upset about posting as to why they thing team A or team B won or lose, then there’s no use for these forums. As long as it doesn’t get personal, it is what it is. We understand players and coaches read these posts, so stay respectful. Just my opinion. Go Hill tonight!!!!!

I was thinking 28-14 Washington at the worst. Their QB end RB are excellent. The 6-8 305lb Minnesota recruit made us look silly on both sides of the ball. As said during the week this game would be decided in the trenches. Provi QB1 who returned from injury was running for his life the whole game. Washington QB could have read the newspaper in the pocket he had so much time. When we finally stated getting pressure on him he scrambled like a NFL pro and made play after play. We couldn’t stop them on 3rd or 4th down conversions. I knew we were in trouble when they stopped us on their 5 and we missed a chip shot FG. We score there and it’s 14-7 with about 5 minutes left in half. I’m basically trying to erase that game from my memory. I’ve been watching PC football for 10 years now and last night was the worst playoff game I’ve seen the team play. As Cogs stated in post game remarks, “we were outmatched” which was the story of PC football over the last month.

I can’t believe anyone can discern anything from last nights provi game and the Washington Metamora game. Nobody runs the double wing in either of the games. Or do they? Does anyone run it that Metamora plays? That would be a better measurement for sure. Even after the game last night, I think it’s still the same rebel yell. It will be a war and close game. Unless your going to ride the fence so you have an out no matter what the outcome is, this game is 50/50. So MAN Up and pick one. I have the Hill winning in a close one 35-28.
P.s. 0Feet0 likes Metamora in this one. So pick wisely. (Hint)

Dad, don't start that stuff again. Circumstances for the two games were quite different.

Thanks to your weak-kneed president, your team lost its final three games by a cumulative score of 90 to 10. He tore the morale out of the squad.

I remember how you called us "shameful' for not switching the game to New Lenox. You know what I'm thinking right now. I don't have to type it out.
