We didn't even start as a 35 point dog to Alabama. Per the computers, now, we'd be a 26 point dog, which is embarrassing. However, if we play well over the next few games, and if Louisville plays like they did against Duke, then that line will fall....by a lot. It will still be double digits, almost certainly, barring a major injury to Jackson.
if you have $100, and the line is 15, how do you bet.
Take points and Kentucky. Or give points and Louisville.

What the duke game shows perfectly is that in the game with Otis last year if the offense would have had drives like duke had we would have won...game will always be a head scratcher
Unfortunately you can if it all day long. If Louisville does not turn the ball over 15 times in the first half, we may not score more than 2x in the half.

I looked it up and got wrong year for our two wins. We beat mac team Kent state (Miami was stoops first year). One interesting note we won two games, and lost only two games by Keven points or less (wku and Georgia). While duke who won one game the year before cutcliff took over beat a power five team in northwestern on the road, and lost five other games by 11 pts or less. (Miami,Inc, and Virginia were part of those).

Believe it or not the team cutcliff took over at duke was probably better than that stoops inherited. But he gets five years where stoops doesn't. Cutcliff would of been on a hotter seat than stoops for fan outrage if he were hired here with those results. At least with stoops you can see night and day difference in talent than when he got here.
Looking at the records im not so sure if I can agree that Cutcliffe took over a better team. Duke hadn't been to a bowl game since 95 until Cutcliffe took them to one. It does take patience to turn around a traditionally bad program. He won more games his first season then they had won the previous 4 years. Stoops has definitely improved the roster from year one to year four and I hope it works out with him.

Nothing head scratching at all about it if you can accept the fact the Cards were simply the better team last year. Yes, it might have been different had UK's #82 ranked offense made enough plays to consistently move the ball against UofLs #8 ranked defense. Actually UK moved the ball (291 yards) a bit better than Duke (239 yards). Both teams had 2 long drives against the Cards. The Cats scored 14 of their 24 points as a direct result of Cardinal INTs but I'm sure that was all about good defense. [winking]

I don't accept it...why I made the statement and it is true.

I don't bet against UK, ever. If the game was next week, I'd abstain. If the line is that at the end of the year, when we are playing them, not sure what I'd do. Would need to see how both teams perform up to that point.
