I always did like Mobley. I hated to see him leave UK; he was probably one of the very few Joker recruits that left the team that belonged on an SEC roster.

Good luck to him.

Chad Scott pretty much ran him off by not playing him even though he was the best RB on the team that year. I was not sad to see Chad Scott go.
He landed Randolph, McClain, Baity, Kemp, Walker, Juice, and Badet. I'd say he did alright in his time at UK

I'm glad he's pursuing a football career and I hope it works out for him. Always like him as a CAT, he ran "angry". I don't think he's a good fit for the Bengal offense, but I think he is good enough to make some teams roster eventually.

Mobley had a disappointing senior season other than his performance vs UK. Injuries were partly to blame but ineffective play by his team contributed too. Strong guy who ran hard but was a step slow. He'll now get a shot but it's an uphill battle.

I don't care who he "landed", if he can't make good decisions with that talent then it doesn't matter.
So you think it was Chad Scott making that call intead of Neal Brown? And you think Mobley is more talented than Kemp or Sanders? If he was so good why did he transfer to EKU instead of a P5 school?

Yes, Scott handled the RB rotations. Stoops said so a couple of years ago when a reporter asked why Mobley didn't play more. Stoops then said he should've stepped in and given Mobley more of a shot but he left that up to his position coaches.

This... but I do think I remember the coaches talking to him about moving to linebacker

Always thought the kid had the potential to make an NFL roster. Hope he catches on somewhere.

Mobley could land somwhere it's going to be an uphill battle just to make the bengals practice squad.

Yeah, I don't think he's been arrested enough for the Bengals taste.

Says a lot about our putrid defense that one of his best games was against us.....

He was asked to switch to linebacker and declined. Had NFL potential at that position. Some kids just can't see it

Pretty sure they did. He probably would have been a good one as well based on his special teams play. He was our best special teams player that year. Still that is one of the worst judgement errors of the Stoops era in going with Sanders over Mobley. He was clearly our best RB off the first season's roster.

Mobley wasn't a good receiver out of the back field, which they were hoping would be a big part of the offense (it wasn't).
