C and SS are still big needs. The rest could look like this:
1. Stallman. 265
2. James. 373
3. Reese. 352
OF / DH
Chance. 332
Teel. 317
Valincius. 348
Nunnallee. 296

So far it looks very impressive. Siary and Valincius are starters. Maybe McPherson ? Can't remember the 3 young guys that are returning

I'm pretty sure the lineup you constructed is for our 5 man outfield squad
It was 4 people in the group for some semblance of possibly 3 OF spots and DH. But if Sullivan is back, maybe someone works into an infield spot. At any rate, on paper it should be a potent offense.

Of course things are still changing and we aren't through the fall yet so....

I thought we could get the SS from Virginia, are we expecting to get anyone else from UVA?

The Virginia transfers played in the ACC. which is usually the #2 conference behind the SEC, but this year was #1.
You’re joking, right? Not that I’m pre-shítting on the transfers….I think they are very good players. But there’s no way the ACC was the #1 conference this year (or any year). What are you using to make that call?

Again, make offers they can't refuse to Utermark (SS) from Ole Miss and Bodine (C) from Coastal.....and we are set!

ACC kicked the SEC *** in postseason this year. Only SEC win was UMiss over GA Tech.

So, you’re using essentially a handful of results from one weekend of baseball to trump the data from an entire regular season? I mean, that must be what you’re doing, because there were no SEC vs. ACC matchups in the Super Regionals.

Pretty sure that a lot more goes into measuring strength of a conference than just head to head vs one other conference in the first round of the tournament.

Head to head is a lot more valid comparison than computer rankings. Actually looks like both conferences were a bit overrated this year. More parity in college baseball than there's been in a pretty good while.

What computer rankings? There are no advanced analytics or anything behind it. RPI and nonconference record pretty strongly show the SEC as by far the best league. Both of those are just straight, simple calculations based off nothing more than the W-L records of all the Division 1 teams.

And head to head is an absolutely terrible way to make that judgment in the regional round. You have seeding differences and then a stacked deck against one team or the other in every matchup past the first games, based on one team having to burn pitching to stay alive.

Case and point - Oklahoma (the 12th best SEC team) played UNC (the BEST ACC team) 3 times and went 1-2. They lost the first matchup and then had to beat Nebraska to get rematch with UNC. They then won the 2nd game to force winner-take-all 3rd game, before they ran out of pitching. I mean, if you’re using something like that to support a bogus theory of ACC superiority over the SEC, I don’t really know what to tell you.

Better clear any new MIF's with Clinton.***

That's fine. A 2nd basemen can play SS just as easily as he can play 2B. I think he'd be great there.
Definitely! That's why Sawyer Reeves made that smooth transition to 2nd without being benched for errors early in the season before moving back to SS and being absolutely reliable there down the stretch.***

Edit to add sarcasteriks.

Maybe so but there's no way we're going to get a starting IF from UM. Not happening. They'd overpay to keep them.

Sorry I left off the sarcasteriks because I thought it was obvious. Reeves was an absolute liability at 2nd to start the year. He was great at short, but he was benched early in the year because he couldn't field a ground ball.
