Early playoff projections

I contacted the folks at HighSchoolOT to let them know of Oak Grove’s ADM situation between last year and this year. We shall see if they pay attention.
I know those projections are just fluff, but daggum, they aren’t any fun at all if you know for sure they’ve put you in the wrong bracket.
If those are even 50% right, I’ll be shocked.

Also, keep in mind their projections are "projections" in every sense of the word, in that they do not project the playoff bracket as it stands right now, but they project based on power ratings, who they think will win every regular season game the rest of the year to dictate conference finishing order....there are always surprises and upsets that upset the apple cart
Oh, you’re absolutely right... Maybe I’m a doofus for enjoying browsing through them and watching how they change and shift each week... I can’t be the only one, since they continue to post them year after year... I’m just trying to help them put out a little more accurate product, since the only thing I can guarantee with absolute certainty is that Oak Grove will be 2AA.
Not 100% on this but I believe OG currently has roughly 40 more students than Ledford and 20 more than ND. So right there with you OG WILL be 2AA.
No way to know for sure, it will depend on who makes the playoffs and who’s attendance is up or down as opposed to last year.
But Red Springs had 717 kids last year. If they have a similar amount of kids this year, they’ll almost certainly be 2A.

I was just saying sleep on. Because you hear about NE, WRH, Clinton. I told a friend 2 weeks ago. Who boys play for Wrh, That Red Spring was a solid team.
Well 1 down 1 to go on your teams we can’t get past and if SOS stays high, we could very we’ll get a chance to host Reidsville still. Have to take care of business. Our shutdown defense at Avery was no accident. At some point people will realize that. Even Pisgah with the win knows what our defense is capable of.
A lot of football left to be played. There will be some shakeups I’m sure.
Actually I would look forward to driving up to Burnsville. The fine folks from Mt. Heritage have had to drive down here enough.
Randleman will not like to see the Rams come to their place.
I know this year's numbers are not out yet, but if I remember correctly, I did not think that neither Randleman nor Reidsville have been near the cut line the last few years; fully expecting Randleman in 2AA East & Reidsville in small 2A West
Randleman was small 2A last year. Not sure about their numbers this year.
And the #1 2A West seed. Lost to Brevard.
Oh, I had forgotten....I remember they were 2AA two years ago and if memory serves, they beat Nash Central in 2nd Round, and gave East Duplin all they wanted in 3rd Rd, curious to see how the numbers shake out this year
I would love to see someone else give a run at a prediction... I can’t even pretend to believe the one that highschoolOT puts out for 2A because they are simply wrong about Oak Grove’s ADM. That changes everything. The East/West line... The line between 2A/2AA.
I emailed the person in charge of it to let him know. I know he can’t just take just anyone’s word on stuff. I have no official paperwork to prove that Oak Grove has 950 kids this year. But you’d think that since it is common knowledge that they have a senior class this year, and are not just a 9-11 school, that it would be a pretty easy thing to confirm.

Randleman and Reidsville match up would be an exciting one to see. I think they are pretty even all around and both has some guys that can get out and go at any moment.
We know what OGs number is. It's on the Davidson county school website. OG is the biggest school in DC. HSOT has been told about this and still lists OG as 2A based on last years ADM.
If this matchup happens, Randleman will be a heavy underdog.

Edited to note cal preps has Reidsville winning 40-28. I would be surprised if its this close.

Red Springs will be small 2A again this year. St. Paul's has largest ADM in the whole conf. They always go big 2AA.
They have alot of students. I forgot,South Robeson kids count at some school. RS .and Fairmont picked up some I'm sure. We see.

You’d think that since they surely put lots of time and effort into doing these predictions, that they’d gladly be open to changing something that was so blatantly incorrect.
Thanks for the info tarheel I know we lost to brevard in a close game in the second round and Redsville come back and beat brevard at the end in the semifinals on the way to win the championship and our offense line is the best it’s been in 10 years and have a lot of weapons on offense. I hope we can make a game of it.
If these brackets were actually set in stone I like Northeastern being a #5 seed with a potential 2nd round match up with Red Springs besides that 4-5 Hour bus ride I like Northeastern in that one. That Clinton & WRH Seed can go either way.
