Illegal? That’s funny. By the way, it was a voluntarily open workout for anyone who wanted to attend. There were ES players who didn’t even attend because they didn’t want to. Had a coach form another school called and asked for their kid to be in it, Lowman would have let them. Illegal though? That’s hilarious.

If a kid is not enrolled currently at a school it is illegal for them to participate in spring workouts. If that wasn't the case everyone would have their 8th graders out in the spring.

What’s hilarious is you have no clue of the rules. It was 100% illegal and if somebody was to turn East in to the NCHSAA they would get in trouble. “OPEN” means open to the East Surry athletes not “anybody” that wanted to attend. They couldn’t deny it with all the publicity about it with him participating. Why do you think the other thread about that got deleted on here?

Rule 2.2.15

You guys must be idiots if even try to compare Lowman to Diamont. Unless you forgot Mr. Diamont will for sure be a NC football Hall of Famer. Lowman took a team that was set to make a run in the playoffs. Even a professional little league like me could have done what he did. Let's see what happens after next year when his talent pool leaks out.

Both the Gosnell brothers are on the 2019 roster for this fall. Maybe since they did not practice or play football in Virginia their plans were always committed to returning to East Surry or maybe a keep us guessing game. Does anyone even know the name of the Virginia school they were going to or are at now? Who's to say they ever really left East Surry ?

If they are not enrolled at ES they can't participate in anything at all

It was not a skill development session, it was a combine type workout. There was 0 coaching going on and half of the East coaches were not even there. It was a combine just for the college coaches in attendance to watch players run 40s, run shuttles, pass and catch routes. How do I know this? My son & I went and watched it.

That's interesting???????? Did I not see on Twitter them working out at East. HMMMmmmm! Gonna find out some stuff on this rule 2.2.15. Also did some research on the kid that transferred from MA. Seems he may have been caught 2 times with some illegal substance and was suspended from MA sports for 365. Anyone else have anymore info on this?

If its a school sanctioned event its common sense that they can't participate until officially enrolled. Surely Lowman wouldn't do that.

Making noise and insulting the other teams fans and players is a totally different thing! Our kids made a tunnel for our girls and some kid with a microphone starts throwing insults about what they were wearing, our left fielder takes her place in the bottom of the first and you hear “gonna be a long day #4”, not sure what was said after the game to our shortstop but it was enough to get her attention as well as her dads that could have had a major impact for all involved. Not to mention a few dads wearing green that made their way across the field with some of Danbury’s finest comments! You can say what you want but I was right in the middle of it all and these are the facts. No class!
Real rich somebody from Robbinsville crying about another teams fans and players. Sayin anything about class is laughable coming from your bunch. Lets see how many intentional injury attempts and how many racial slurs get thrown around by your players this year. And while were at it how many social media posts likes your softball shortstop gives out trashing an athlete that missed out on a state title game only because he tried to protect himself. Nah the whole thing sounds like what goes around comes around to me.
