Tonights MVP from the East /West Game was Keon Caudle (running back) from Tarboro High School! East take the win. Good luck to all those kids from the East and West on the next chapter of their lives

Not sure why a division 2 school didn't take a flyer on this kid. He has the speed, quickness, and the size to work with. In the right program, he could have possibly transferred to D1 his junior year on scholarship. Hopefully scouts saw the game and do just that. I'm rooting for him.
Pamlico's Lamont Murray scored on an 81 yard TD reception that was the longest play from scrimmage in the game's history.
I’ll never agree with a East West game until they actually have players from the far western part of the state. 1 or 2 does not meet that expectation. Most don’t even come from west of asheville.
Any of those players you mention play in the shrine game? Or go to the combine?
The speed difference seemed evident on the east side. They looked alot quicker and it showed.
The same is true with the east in general. The 2 extremes are composed of a high number of 1A and 2A schools. Most players selected are from bigger schools and many of them have committed to playing at the next level. In the SMC we may not have the most athletic kids, we just produce good teams. The center of the state has more urban areas which means more publicity. Coaches tend to select players they are familiar with.
The SMC has good teams that are very physical. That being said they tend to lack the high level individual athletes that play in these games, all about speed.
