Looking forward to seeing the Yellow Jackets take the field for the first time this year, Fannin should be a perfect scrimmage, they are good enough to challenge the Jackets, but wont overwhelm them. In many years where Hayesville has scrimmaged much larger schools that overwhelm them. This should be a good barometer for where the Jackets are at.

heard Fannin was up 21-0 early but didnt get update after that....
I know this will upset some people but Fannin had the biggest and probably best line the jackets will see all year! On top of that they were loaded with athletes. They are picked to finish 3rd in their region, but have a look at that region and you will understand why! They would probably win the SMC with no problem. The jackets having to go both ways and the kids not dressed out hurt them but hey it was a scrimmage! I saw some good things last night and I for one am excited to have a more competitive team!!!
Lmfao, Fannin got mercy ruled last year by a Union team that would've lost to Murphy. There is NO WAY Fannin improved that much in one season.
They do not have the best line you will see this year and they would not win the SMC. They would get beat by Murphy, probably handily, just like they did 3 of the last 4 times they played the Dogs .

Ive read some preposterous comments over the years on preps, but Fannin winning the SMC with "no problem" tops them all.
never know what you'll read on preps anymore....couple weeks ago jackets were gonna upset the dogs and finish top 3 in the smc...now fannin after beating the jackets would win the smc......just bizarre......maxpreps has murphy about 3000 spots higher than fannin ?
You are right guys sorry I forgot about Murphy. My Bad there is no way in hell that the 28th ranked AAA team in Georgia could compete with the dogs! What was I thinking? This isn’t the same team as last year trust me I saw them then. Who said the jackets would beat Murphy? I don’t think they will but they will be improved.

You say that like it means something. First off there are only 56 teams in Georgia 3A, so that's the literal definition of average within their class. Second there are 7 classes in Georgia now, so Fannin are basically the equalivent of an average 2AA school in North Carolina. Newsflash: Murphy is better than an average 2AA school.

Last year Fannin County finished with a 35th place ranking in their class and finished 4-7

We saw Fannin skill players at 7-on-7 . They were the worst we saw. Not a single starter at one of SMC Big 3.
fannin had 3 ooffensive linemen that would have swallowed mugherbill hole they also have a tightend thats taller then anyone in the smc thats a freak of an athlete. alot can change in a year for a AAA school they dressed out 73 kids for the scrimmage no one is saying we are going to beat Murphy except for one hayesville fan on here but regardless fannin was good. we definitely can get better from that game though.

If Hayesville had trouble against Fannin's line then they are in for a world of hurt against Murphy and Robbinsville line
Fannin's line might be huge, but so was Swain's last year and we see how that went... just saying.
Size is nice but it isn't the be all end all, especially if they can't move. Some of the biggest kids Murphy has had over the years were not great lineman.
