OMG!!!!
What horrible news!!!!! The kid was 100% for RU when he committed and really loved it here. On the field it didn't work out for him and he was doing well at UNLV.
Very, very sad. Seemed like a great kid.

Wow - we all can learn a lesson from Ryan to attack life.

But we all could only be so lucky to have such an outpouring of support.

Horrible news. Ryan seemed line such a great guy and teammate. He was still tweeting and retweeting about his former Rutgers connections this week.

After Fran Brown, Ryan was my favorite Rutgers recruiter. He seemed to have a zest and passion for Rutgers and the team while he was here. Forever a Scarlet Knight and now a member of the Omega Society. RIP young man.

"UNLV football player Ryan Keeler complained of nausea and feeling sick in the week before his death, and he had been prescribed medication shortly before dying, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal."

"An official cause of death has not been released."

"the report didn’t specify the type of medication."

"a man with the title of "director sports medicine" told them Keeler had been prescribed medication on Feb. 17 ... and had just visited him on Feb. 19 as well."

And apparently the coaches were over working him all through his illness. He would have been in better hands here.

There was a deleted post on Reddit that vaguely referenced something about the staff.
Could not find anything on Twitter. Workouts had started.

Yeah I did a search at the time….seems like some stuff has been deleted. But if there is an investigation going on, there might be some truth to it.
