Honestly...who expected us to beat the spread? This team has improved defensively and made Bama work for everything they got.

Proud of our boys for going toe to toe with the best there is. Now if Johnson learns to hold onto the ball we may be alright. How about Snell and Kemp slicing and dicing from the Wild Cat?

I agree with the OP. Team is progressing. Meanwhile St. Petrino is getting smoked on ABC. Probably Barnharts fault.

They didn't embarrass themselves, but I wouldn't describe that game as going toe to toe with Alabama.

I'll never be happy getting blown out to any team, any time, anywhere. Sorry..I'm weird like that. We didn't play bad tonight, but I'm never going to be happy with moral victories..we've had more than our fair share of those over the years. Only Kentucky fans are able to make a moral victory out of a 34-6 loss..no otheir team in the SEC besides us and Vandy would do that..I don't care if it was against Alabama or not. Even overmatched SEC teams would never be satisfied with getting blown out by any team

The first half if Johnson doesn't have to horrible fumbles the score is 10-6 Bama. What else could you ask for from our boys?

Kentucky Football. Will always suck, until we kill this attitude.

Win god dammit.

This game did nothing to change my thoughts on this team. We played hard, which was good, and we appear to be healthy, which is better. The next few games are crucial for Stoops and his future here but I don't know how tonight could make anyone feel better or worse about the rest of the year.

Going toe to toe should feel.like you had a chance to win. I never felt that way.

Yep! Stoops and company looked great only losing by nearly 30. I say sign Stoops to a lifetime extension

I can tolerate losing 34-6 to #1 Alabama in their house. I can't tolerate losing at home to the likes of Southern Miss or giving up 40+ points to a team like New Mexico State at home. Also, losing 45-7 to a solid but far from great Florida team is also unacceptable. But what we witnessed tonight was actually a better performance by our Cats than most people would have expected. Hell, we gave Bama a better game than did USC which has far more talent than we do.

This team is showing improvement. They are showing effort. I can live with the outcome we saw tonight provided we continue to witness the effort the team has shown the past 10 quarters. Obviously Stoops taking over the D has made this team better. The outcome of the next 3 games is going to determine the course of the season. If we continue to play hard and give effort, this team has an outside chance of turning the season around and go bowling. I was solidly off the Stoops train after the first couple of games. But the turnaround he's made on defense has at least caused me to get back on the caboose. The next 3 games are critical and I'll withhold further judgment until I see the outcome of those games. Stoops is still on life support but he still has a pulse. There's still an outside chance he might turn this thing around.

It doesn't matter, we suck. South Carolina is terrible. We need a new direction, because Stoops is in way over his head here. We need a proven coach with a proven record to at least get us back to bowl status.

No excuses, he's not the guy for this program, no matter how many of you are clamoring to see it.

In year four you shouldn't be at the point where beating the spread is a "win".
Rack this post forever. Give the man/woman a trophy. You folks are talking about being flipping happy you UK didn't get beat by thaw spread. Lol unreal.

Alabama slept walked thru most of the game quite honestly.

If Saban wanted to win this 76-6, he would have. He played tight because he didnt want to give anything to the rest of the conference during this game.

Stoops is a lame duck, the only variable is time.

I feel the team played better tonight than against USM. So there is improvement; but I am afraid it will be too little, too little and too late.

Who the hell was talking about an upset?

I've been banned, for the Stoops coverup. There were really sunshine pumpers like Merrieman who were talking upset?

Don't let Saban playing tight fool you. He could have blown us out worse. This is how he operates.

Defensively we are playing better so I agree with that. It was impossible to tell about the offense because Bama is just so freaking good.

They were working out kinks in the passing game for their young QB. Much of our "success" came from their unforced errors.

It was a practice game for Bama. Only the idiots will fall for it. I know how Saban works, I watch him routinely. He was never going to show much in this game, he even went away from his typical style, as you noted.

Only the Stoops suckups are going to see something positive in this.

Saban played out of character and made this a practice for his QB, and we STILL have stOOPS apologist seeing positivity in getting blown the hell out.

It's sad. And I mean that, really sad.

Careful, folks with pitchforks are scouring the message boards. Post positive stuff only. 28 point blowouts are ok. It was expected. I mean, jeepers creepers, the spread was 35. Let's look at the positives.

To hell with them. They are whats wrong with UK football. Screw them, Barnhart, Stoops, and the loser mentality they all bring to the table.
