All four wins have been against teams with losing records and the next two wins will come against awful AP and Missouri, who also have losing records. But that's the six wins that we need to go bowling. It's exciting but trying to remain objective since there are no marquee wins yet. Are we really better or is everyone else just worse?
There is opportunity to make a statement regarding the perception or reality of improvement b/c 3/5 remaining games are against teams with winning records -- Georgia being possible but huge underdogs to Tenn and UofL. Win one or more of those three games and we can legitimately claim improvement. Lose all three and still going bowling but need to grab one of these opportunities to justify a change in perception. Not sure that six wins against bad teams gets us there by itself. But have a week to enjoy things until the Missouri win (please don't take them too lightly and screw things up).
Who knows if we'll beat Missouri... BTW, all these teams that we're beating is SEC teams.... Regardless, they're used to winning... Take Miss. State.. they have a better team than you think... Alabama showed me that we can play with any team on our schedule... You can see our team getting more confidence and at the same time playing better each week...
What aren't you sure about? Six wins won't get us what? It will get us to a bowl game, better recruiting and give our players extra practice time... These are small steps, but this is a young team... Next year, this team will be full grown.. Come back and we'll have this conversation again...
I think we'll have a better chance against Georgia, than Missouri, but that's just because it's a road game... I'll take UK over any of those two teams at home...
Sure we're in a weaker conference, but that isn't our fault... We're making the best of a bad situation and as of right now, we're the #2 team in the East, ahead of UT... No matter how you mix it, that's what comes up... Playing with a young roster, UK has come a long way...
