It sure feels good knowing that we'll be bowling again for the 3rd straight year while the Bears struggle to hit 4 winsin 2012. They could very well be underdogs in every SEC game and could possibly hit the 0-8 mark in conference play again. The Vandy game will probably determine whether they go 0-8 or 1-7 in league play. Combine that with Texas on their OOC slate, and ouch!! The Tyler Russell/Dak Prescott era officially begins at MSU. We should see a wideropening of the playbook with these 2 guys under center.I'm really looking forward to seeing Autry in action. We have sorely missed a true pass-rushing specialist like him.
Love him or tolerate him, Stans has us ranked in the top 20 heading into SEC play.We have some play-makers in Hood, Moultrie, and Bost. Right now, Moultrie is the glue holding this team together.He's got major game. Who knows what to expect from us heading into league play and beyond. We seem to play to the level of our competition which concerns me greatly. Show me something in March boys.Get to the tournament and play balls to the wall for a change.
I'm expecting good things from the baseball team. I've heard that we've signed some very good arms which is key to winning at any level in baseball. Cohen definitely has the fire in the belly and the recruiting moxie to get us to Omaha. We were one pitcher short of reaching that goal last year when we simply couldn't hold the lead against Floridain game 3 of the super-regional. We are finally manuvering our way back on to the national stagein our signaturesport.
It should be a very good year to be a Dawg fan in 2012. Enjoy it and help cheer our teams on.I'm already planning out 3 trips to Vegas for football games against Auburn, Texas A&M, and Tennessee.
