Here's a positive...We locked the white 17er down in the 2nd half. Our perimeter defense
was actually very good in the 2nd half. We stepped out on those guys not even allowing the long threes over a defender standing a foot away. I like that considering in the past we don't usually make that adjustment mid-game. I thought defensively we played one of our best games, rebounding wasn't as good as it needed to be (too many second chance shots for Baylor). Much like our football team, we just need to find some sort of offense (against the zone) and we can compete with anybody in the country.
Despite the loss, I still feel like this is our best team in years, and we could definitely give Stands his Sweet 16 with this bunch. C34 makes some pretty good points, but I think we can even overcome the coaching with this team. They seem to want to win more than our teams in the past. Big games and the big stage tend to bring out the best in them...I'm disappointed but not even close to doubting these guys.
