and fire or demote Elliott. Stoops and Leavitt have a history and Leavitt runs a hybrid 3-4. Leavitt would bring a wealth of knowledge and also be someone with head coaching experience on the staff. If Stoops gets fired mid season next year then Leavitt could finish the year as interim and maybe take over as head man if he produces. The latter could be part of the negotiations in luring him away from Colorado.

I wouldn't mind him as the HC, he was a winner at USF. He actually built the program, running things out of a trailor at first.
I know striking a player in the locker room is dead WRONG, however I believe he has done his due diligence, and would never allow this to happen again.
His record was 95-57 at South Florida in 13 seasons, 4 as a 1AA school before moving to Div. 1. He would never be hired at UK , due to this incident, but he is an experienced winner, and might be a guy to turn things around. He is the current DC at Colorado, which BTW is ranked 21st this week.
