Maybe the two worst I have every seen , especially the color guy, he didn't know rules and was blatantly bias for Otis. The guy didn't know rules ...the face mask wasn't bad enough to be called, the wrist isn't part of the hand and it goes on and on. They were just pitiful. Add that toTim Couch can't get a job on the network, really?

And Mike Patrick looks like an absolute abomination of a troll. I agree, worst commentary I've heard for football. What a bummer indeed!

It was pretty bad. I don't know why they can't just call the game. No need for color or special interest. Call it the way a radio announcer would.

They made multiple mistakes on names, locations and lacked general knowledge about the state of Kentucky. The face mask 'debate' was beyond stupid, our receiver pushed off on the TD pass but a couple of UL pass interference should be overlooked cause they weren't that bad. I'm surprised these two weren't wearing striped shirts on the field.

That is one reason I listen to the UK radio broadcast.
Use easy radio delay app and sync with the TV..
Also a must have during some of the basketball games.

If you'd never tuned into an ESPN college football broadcast until the UK/UL game yesterday, you would think how in the he!! did these two clowns get hired.

Add mike Patrick to the "should have retired 5 years ago" crew. Patrick, lundquist, vitale, and musberger are all too old to even keep up with the game. TERRIBLE

How about that comment when our TE is knocked down while running his pass-route, "that call should not have been pass interference because the pass was overthrown" the height of stupidity or bias or both!!!

Most passes are overthrown when the receiver is laying on the ground.

Happened to catch about 5 minutes of Matt Jones call in show and some lady described them as "Beavis and Butthead who grew up to be Dumb and Dumber.":joy::joy:

I had to turn them off midway thru the third I just couldn't take anymore..I have a sync radio guess I'm going to have to put it to better use because I haven't in a while.

They misidentified players all game long. It happened many times. Somebody needs to be reprimanded over it.

Wonder if they considered the pass had to be thrown away because the receiver was knocked flat. I'm sure the officials must have.

Just another reason ESPN is continuing to lose their subscribers. And they are losing them in big numbers. - 612,000 in October! To me they appear to be morphing into the ACC Sports Channel. Go Cats!!

ESPN is not only in the broadcast game... Announcers play a role in promoting the ESPN brand...
Don't think for a minute that the network doesn't try and promote certain teams/players as it can impact their bottom line... UofL/Lamar Jackson/rankings/Bowl appearance/Heisman = $$$ ... There was waaaaay more going on money wise... What was won and lost yesterday more than just a ball game. UK wasn't expect to win, some said -27.... For ESPN they didn't see the need to prepare for anything KENTUCKY..... All they were ever going to talk about was Louisville... The announcers were just going by the script... Unfortunately the script and the game were out of sync and those two were so lost they didn't manage to bring much excitement to the viewer... They were professionally inept. Not uncommon to see 2016.

The color guy was the most biased I've ever seen in a game. Never game UK credit for anything and tried to make something negative out of every positive play the Cats made. Very obvious who he was rooting for, especially when he said about 1000 times that Lamar Jackson should still win the Heisman.

That's bc, according to the announcers, the hit wasn't that bad. Just a blown call, but the explanation was hilarious.
I would like an explanation on that as well. To tee off on return man even if he is faking to field the punt sounds like a penalty to me. I've never seen it happen but that blew me away for no flag

Mike Patrick is the drizzling ***** and has been for many, many years. the worst PBP guy on any national broadcast network by a mile. for all the hate Dick Vitale and Jay Williams get, THIS guy is also hands down the biggest Duke and Coach K kiss-*** walking planet Earth. he is unknowledgeable for all the experience he has and is pretty damn unprofessional as well. needless to say, as a member of media myself, a lot of this stuff sticks out to me, and I'm not a fan of this troglodyte.

If you use iHeart to stream radio broadcast there is a delay. All you then have to do is pause TV for a sec or two to sync it up.

That's what I did as soon as I saw Mike Patrick's ***, knew it would be ACC slurpfest.

TV ratings would soar if they would just let the radio announcers voices be heard. With modern technology it could be fixed where the TV viewer would select which team's announcers he wanted to hear. And the UK radio team is one of the best imo. Yesterday's radio call on the winning field goal and then the final interception captured the emotions of the long suffering UK fans. it was great.
