What does this actually "do" versus using the quick reply area.

The hardest thing for me on some of the longer threads if figuring out who is answering who sometimes unless they use the "quote" feature

If you go to the main message board page and look at a thread, you can see all the posts. If you look at an individual post and there is one under it that is indented, that means someone replied to that post correctly (using the tutorial method).

If you use the quick reply button, there is no indent and it just says RE: (title of post). There is no way to tell who that person is replying to.

All in all, DS has toyed with the idea of getting rid of the "threaded view" because, my guess is Yuku is giving him trouble (sorry to speak on your behalf, DS). Most posters do not want to get rid of it because then SPS basically turns into a smaller version of TigerDroppings. I don't want that.

is located at the bottom of the thread once you click inside a post. I click on that to read. I treat multi-threaded topics as mini-topics and click on each mini-thread.

Like if I wanted to read the discussion between me and drt7891 - I would click on his "To expand on what Desotocounty said".

and seeing who replied to who. Someone said you can click on a post (if there are replies) and see who replied to that post, but that still is a lot of clicking and going back and forth.

...is there some way that the thread, once opened can be viewed as the "thread-tree?" In other words, why can't the thread look like it does on the main page when you open it? To me, that would make a ton of sense, instead of being ordered chronologically.
