It’s that time of year so this is perfect.

I chose Lebby bc I don’t think retreads have a very good track record. They typically don’t have the same fire that made them successful the first time.
Is it more common for a retread to be good again, or for a good with a really bad record to suddenly become good?

Neither is completely unprecedented, but one's got to be more likely.

Lebby is an Az State or Ark loss away from being run out of town this year. Maybe not by the AD but by everyone else. He showed some spark, but he was one loss away from calling plays from a press box next year.

I’ve been critical of Mullen in the past and I hate the way he left us in 2017. But in the words of the late, great Rush H. Limbaugh III, Mullen could out coach Libby with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair.

Ok, so fess up, on another board it was suggested this question to be floated out to fans from the athletic department. Are we saying the AD is seriously thinking about this? Is there actually a chance?

The only thing worse than hiring a guy who can’t coach is hiring a guy whose name is one letter away from a dead pedophile. Even still I’d pick Jeffery Epstein over Jeff Lebby to coach State if I was force to pick between them.

They say one died mysteriously in custody. The other keeps dying mysteriously on 3rd-and-6 in 0.8 seconds.

I don't know if Zac Selmon and the big money boosters are reading this thread, but if they are, I hope they see that 85% prefer Mullen to Lebby and take that into account.

Are you serious?

I was so ready for Mullen to move on because of the exact thing we saw today at the University of Northern MS, but, given the choice I can't think of any job on campus I'd even want Lenny to do starting tomorrow.....

I don't care if still has the fire or not and I'm not jumping up and down wanting Dan back. Given the 2 choices, it's Mullen without question.

Hugh is a dirtbag, but honestly he’s a better coach than Lebby

Better Poll Question:

How many just-fired SEC coaches would you take over Lebby right now?

The list - Napier, Freeze, Pittman, Kelly, Stoops

I think I’d take all of them except Freeze.
Freeze Kelly and Stoops.

Napier and Pittman are about equal with Lebby.
