I would love Strong as our DC. Would like Eliot on staff as well since he's a solid recruiter. Just not DC material, yet.
I never thought of Eliot as a strong recruiter. Who has he recruited to UK? Serious question.
on the recruiting tab, on the commitment list, if you click on the commits name, it will tell you who they were recruited by. The old rivals recruiting site was much easier to find the info. You could break it down to see most all the recruits an individual coach was recruiting.

I don't think Eliot is going anywhere, now or after the season. I look for everything to remain the same, with Eliot in the press box and Stoops calling the defense. This is not a big deal. Petrino is the HC but he also calls the offensive plays. Dana Holgorsen calls most of the plays on offense at WV, and Jimbo calls a lot of plays at FSU. The present set-up at UK seems to be working very well.
I bet Charlie still thinks of himself as a pretty good HC. He won't be dropping down to assistant unless he doesn't see the right job right now.
Sorry? I'm not, he got a ton of credit for the recruiting at UL that belonged to the biggest cheater around, the one that is never ever mentioned by Transfer U OR UL now.
He had a ton of talent while at Florida and a ton more than UK at Texas.
Not only that, he doesn't have Clint Hurtt to work his sleazy recruiting magic. No thanks.
ain't no way, not only here I bet Cholly if he is without a job won't settle for being anybody's DC. he will look for another head coaching job - and someone might be interested in hiring him right away at even a P5 school. who could Purdue hire who is better? what if Paul Johnson & Ga Tech divorce?
