There must be a reason our coaches have not utilized Sellers' the fullest of his capability. They are taking advantage of Pavia which is the opposite of what we are doing with Sellers.
A premier QB is a terrible thing to waste.
You would think a QB like Sellers would be a gift for coaches looking to prove their worth as coaches.Their must be a reason our coaches have not utilized Sellers' the fullest of his capability.

Our coaches need to take advantage or get out of the way. It's Beamer's call.Yup. I recall when Jackson blew up at Louisville. Every game was all Jackson, all the time. That's how it is most schools when you have a player the caliber of Sellers. The way we have utilized Sellers this season may go down as one of the great blunders in Gamecock history.

Vandy has played no one. They will lose the next five games
I actually think the coaches should try to take more off of him. My impression is Sellers believes he has to be "superman" and has to make every play. Therefore, he tends to hold onto the ball to try to "make" a play and instead gets sacked at very inopportune times rather than simply throwing the ball away. On the other hand, there have been several times he has "escaped" to make the play. So, not sure which is worse. We don't really have the O-Line so he thinks he has to be "superman"...There must be a reason our coaches have not utilized Sellers' the fullest of his capability.

Are you saying the Vandy Pimp can't do his business in Tuscaloosa?'Bama beats Vandy By Double Digits!!!! Load up on 'Bama... Revenge from last year!!

Vandy has deep pockets. The thing is they never cared about sports until now.
I think our coaches must know the drop off at QB2 is a huge one. The fact that Doty is the backup speaks volumes. They're protecting Sellers. There must be a reason our coaches have not utilized Sellers' the fullest of his capability.
It could be. i posted a thread pre-season that we better hope sellers never gets hurt b/c doty is our backup. we saw that come to fruition against vandy and what the result would be with doty at QB.I think our coaches must know the drop off at QB2 is a huge one. Just to be clear, are you dissing us on this post ?Vandy has played no one. They will lose the next five games
I think it would be awesome for Vanderbilt to go to the playoffs. And I can see them beating Alabama this weekend as well; I hope they do.Wouldn't it be great if they go to the playoffs before we do?!?
It can't.I think they'll give a good account of themselves. But if they get throttled, how does that make out loss to them look any better?

I do not believe this. I think they'll win 2. Maybe 3.Vandy has played no one. They will lose the next five games
I don’t even understand that question. Why would there be an expectation to reflect our game with them one way or another? For that matter, who cares?I think they'll give a good account of themselves. But if they get throttled, how does that make out loss to them look any better?

It's not that far of a stretch to understand that the better Vandy does for the rest of the year, the better our loss looks. Losing to a 10 win team is more respectable than losing to a 6 win team. And vice versa.
This is pretty standard college football stuff. Unless one just wants to complain.
If we were on the bubble of making the ncaa basketball tournament that would make sense. We aint, it dont; nonsensical weak sauce, speaking of standard stuff. It's not that far of a stretch to understand that the better Vandy does for the rest of the year, the better our loss looks. Some people will use this game to help gauge the degree of putrefaction which attaches to our loss to Vandy. You know it as well as I do. If we were in the CFP picture, which we most certainly are not, what happens in the Vandy/Bama game might even matter to us. My essential point was that our loss to them in Columbia will suck perpetually and grossly regardless.I don’t even understand that question. Some losses are just ugly and there's no way to spin it otherwise. If there's any hope the Gamecocks can turn this season around, I'd rather look back on that game as a one-off terrible performance against a decent-but-not-great Vandy team than to think Vandy has figured out the secret sauce to greatness and we have not.I think they'll give a good account of themselves. But if they get throttled, how does that make our loss to them look any better?
