Brian Bryant is done with his Moultrie knee and should be ready to go- altho I'd rather us start Steele from now on.<div>
</div><div>Good stretch ahead to really build some cohesiveness before SEC play starts- if we can stay away from any other players serving a Moultrie knee, we'll be in good shape</div>

Question for you Coach... if you had to choose one of these options, which one would you choose?

1. Beat Baylor, win 2 of 3 against NWestern State, Utah State, and Detroit... or
2. Lose to Baylor, beat NWestern State, Utah State, and Detroit

There's no doubt he's having some knee problems. He was in obvious pain when he went to the bench in the Troy game (or maybe it was the one before that), the announcers said that he was very limited in practice the day before the FAU game and in the warmup that day. Plus, he dressed out for all 3 games he's missed, unlike Bryant and Sidney. Maybe his knees are fine and he really was suspended, but if so, we've gone to a lot greater lengths to invent a story than we ever have before.

you really are as big of a dumbass as you try to appear to be.

The NBA would take a pot head all day long over a guy with chronic knee issues.

You are such a troll

In that case you have to take the Baylor win and pair it with one of our typical head-scratchers.And if I could pick the one to lose, it would be Detroit, on the road, even though right now that would probably be the worst loss of the three.

But I agree... Really, the only difference between losing to Utah State and Detroit would be home and away. Utah State beat BYU earlier in the year, but have not done much since then. They turned right around and lost to Texas A&M Corpus Christi and some others. I'm with you, though, I'd take the next best loss while beating a top 10 Baylor team. If I really had my way, we'd beat all of them, but I think that would be our next-best scenario.

Road losses only hurt half as bad in terms of RPI, while neutral court losses are the same as home court losses.

losing to a 4-5 team on the road? Granted, Detroit doesn't have some flat out TERRIBLE losses (Akron, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Alabama, and Notre Dame), but which would hurt worse?

Brian missed 5 classes which is an automatic 3 game suspension by the AD.

A.M. Has knee problems and he was never suspended. They are trying to get him 100% before SEC play.

I heard that right from the horse's mouth.

P.S. Pollard will be a bulldog! Bank on it!

Plus the Win over Baylor helps more than loss to Baylor and wins over teams we should have beaten anyway.

Once again, speaking strictly on RPI and selection committee.

"moultrie knee" is real. Moultrie and Sid were suspended for disciplinary issues. The way Stands decided to handle it, was his business. I love how so many of you honestly think that tendinitis is "selective" when it comes to pain. Any of you ever had tendinitis in your knees? Cause if you have, you would know that it doesn't just decide to show up on a plane ride home, or for one day and then disappears for a week...then, suddenly on game day, its back with vengeance. I can assure you, Moultrie's knees will magically heal when we get into the nitty gritty part of our schedule. Some of you still won't believe it....

I know road losses don't hurt near as bad as home or neutral court losses, but it was more along the lines of which would hurt worse, a W against Baylor (huge RPI boost anyway) tagged with a loss to Detroit on the road, or a W over Detroit on the road and a loss to a very good Baylor team.

you can. If a player had bad knees, you would DEFINITELY allow him to sit ******** games versus ones where he is needed. This is so bizarre of an attack on a player, much less a coach.

Again, why would he risk his NBA career just for the sake of a college coach?

And, because he will play the rest of the year on bad knees is FAR LESS of a stretch than to say that he was suspended by his coach for 3 games over a 5 game stretch and it was all blamed on bad knees instead of another reason.

I guarantee you that other fan bases would laugh their asses off at your Stans paranoia

ANYONE??? Hell, he is a damn magician with this ****. He has yet to even be questioned on it. At this rate, he could have said that the whole Sidney fight last year was an orchestrated dance and it was all planned, therefore no suspensions were necessary.

Seriously, do you idiots even listen to yourselves???</p>

Thus having a plethora of discipline issues once again this year would undermine what is shaping up to be a great season.

It's obvious that his boss places a high value on image just by taking a look at all of the recent marketting campains.

I guarantee you that he was told by Stricklin that his two jobs this year were to improve the program's image and win games.

Stans just didn't want to tip his hand so he played him against 4-4 Troy or against 4-5 North Texas? Stans was just worried we wouldn't be able to handle them???

He played against North Texas to ensure he would have no rust against WV. He played against Troy because of the chance of a letdown game after a big win versus West Virginia.

1. If Sidney were to be suspended again, the national media would be all over it and we would hear about it every game.

2. Moultire is similar to above, in that He is arguably our best player.

3. Bryant is a role player and it gets mentioned once or twice and then is forgotten about.

4. Suspensions for skipping class look alot better than suspensions for other reasons.

I hope we dont have anymore bball players get "Moultrie knee" and miss games

Evidence Moultrie is injured:<div>1) The first game Moultrie missed he had a brace on his leg.</div><div>2) The first game he came back, the trainers worked on his knees every time he came back to the bench.</div><div>3) Announcers on TV have talked about watching Moultrie struggle in practice and warm-ups.</div><div>4) When the rumor first started that he was suspended, everyone who told it to me said he would miss that first game and the next two. This turned out to be false.</div><div>5) If Stans was staggering the suspension so we would have him for the tougher games, it sure seems like he chose poorly between FAU and Troy.</div><div>6) Moultrie has to go along with this plan, and it makes no sense for him to, since chronic knee problems is a much bigger red flag to NBA teams than a 3 game suspension, regardless of the reason for the suspension.</div><div>7)When Brian Bryant got suspended this year, there was no attempt to cover it up by the staff.</div><div>8) A cover up of this magnitude would more than likely have leaked at some point.</div><div>
</div><div>Evidence Moultrie was suspended:</div><div>1) Everyone who I heard claim he was suspended said three games. If he ends up missing exactly three games for the entire season, that would be a pretty big coincidence.</div><div>2) BehrDawg claims you can't play through this injury sometimes and then have it inflame worse at other times. I don't know this to be false, but it sure seems to happen a lot with professional athletes in general. I'm not sure about this specific injury.</div><div>3) After the fact, Stans claimed Moultrie would have been available if needed in the first two games he missed, yet when it appeared he was needed in the third, he remained on the bench.</div><div>
</div><div>Am I missing anything? It sure seems to me that in order for you to believe he was suspended you have to either A) have talked to someone that you trust who would know firsthand (which is very few people), or B) have an agenda. If his knees become a non-issue for the rest of the season, then I could see where you believe it, though.</div>

For the love of all that is holy, does it even matter why Moultrie sat out? We won the games he was out and are ranked 16th in the country yet this has been almost the only basketball topicI see on here the last couple of weeks.
