I may have to go against my initial perception of Wake fans

At least after a loss. I know it's not good to make an opinion on a fanbase from a message board, but this takes the cake..<div>

</div><div>I did get a decent laugh from some of the comments though, but come on... They act like some State fans spiked their drinks, *** raped them and forgot to say thank you.</div>

is that they are probably a lot like Vandy fans. And I may be way off on that since I didn't go to the game and I only know one person who went to Wake Forest and then she transferred to Tulane.

I would imagine that they run a lot of academics smack and a lot of stuff about how they have a degree from "Wake Forest" like they're really something special and talk about how they make six figures right out of school- although they fail to mention that they're living in New York City, so that's about the equivalent of making 50K out of college in Mississippi.

Being in engineering has me looking at academic smack as rather weak. That's a kind ofelitistattitude that has always rubbed me the wrong way. They may, generally speaking, be pretty cool and these in particular as just extremely butt hurt. Take the loss and move on. It wasn't that bad of a performance.

Your "academic" and "diversity" smack is starting to sound a lot like the "We have never lost a party" smack that we have grown accustomed to. NONE of which had anything to do with winning this particular game. This wasn't the god damn junior quiz bowl. You 17ing lost. Suck it.

Except for the cowbell comments, we heard the same ACC/East Coast elitist ******** both times we played (and beat) Virginia in the last couple of years. Way to beat that *** last night. To most of them, everyone in Mississippi isbarefoot/backwoods/inbred/add your stereotype.

Is that they're in North Carolina... My time spent in NC showed me that NC has quite the assortment of backwaters people too. They really have no room to talk.

Don't go changing it because of a couple of forum board crazies.
Academics? My MSU degree was good enough to get me into WFU grad school. So...

A.) Show me where we are the worst school in the nation academically. I want to see the stats. You notice how no one brought any citation to that miserable little claim? I would be willing to put my degree and my education up against theirs any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

B.) None of that matters, now does it? The final score is still 23-17. Get over it. We know you're hurt. We get it. Still, no need to try and be nasty about it.

Just a little aside:

If I'm a redneck, you're a sister-humpin hillbilly. Seriously, though, North Carolina? Pot meet kettle.

I know pretty well that a loss can amplify a lot of negative connotations. Either way, it kind of amuses me how every single one MSU fan is a bell toting redneck in a horrendous college that accepts people under the guise of how many teeth they have determines their ACT score.

I had a professor at state who was a Harvard Grad and taught at Harvard whiled going to grad school and he told me that Harvard was no harder then any other school. It's just takes better academics and more money to get in but once your end it is all the same. Like I said and he is the one who said it said it to me. "Math is math and science is science no matter where it is learned".</p>

Now, its pages upon pages of calling us rednecks, spending WAY too much effort talking **** about our academics, and complaining about the cowbells.

Interesting. Most fanbases tend to implode and **** talk their own team/coaches/players/fans after a loss (seen here, and most everywhere). Always interesting to see ones that lash out.

Plenty of that going on as well.

Just last year, some of the same fans that were saying Mullen could consistently go 6-6 and 7-5 with the occasional 8 or 9 win seasons and he'll go down as a legend are the same ones wanting to crucify him now. I don't understand fans at all.
