Again, what evidence do you have that Gunnar Hoak is a playmaker that can do everything by himself without coaching or a supporting cast?

Lamar Jackson has talent, but he is also being coached properly and has a good supporting cast.

You're a linear thinker. You react instead of using critical thinking. Barker is not the problem. He's a product of a horrible coaching staff and protected by a horrible offensive line. Towles had the same behavior, and so did Max Smith.

I think you're venting out of frustration. And I understand that. But try putting yourself in his shoes. Ball is snapped, you look left, or right, for a receiver..... And BAM!! The freaking D-Line is smothering you and you have to go into self-preservation mode. If you think it's so easy, try it. Keep in mind that those DL, LB are future NFL players in the SEC.

These kids have played football all their lives...they should know not to throw the ball to the other team

Barker is as much the problem as anyone else. He stinks. He couldn't beat out Towless who also stinks. And you people on here saying Jackson would stink too are hilarious. Just look what happens when his O line collapses, he goes for 70 yard TD runs.

If he is so great then why could he not beat out Towles for the job?

Barker isn't the problem. He had work to do to but so does the entire team. This season is going down the toilet anyway, why would we burn someone's redshirt? We gain nothing and lose a year of a potential playmaker a la Couch.

And I guess the pros don't show interceptions? Last year Drew Brees had 11, Rodgers had 8, Brady had 7, Roethlisberger had 16, and Peyton Manning had 17. I'm done watching the NFL until they get quarterbacks that know better than throw the ball to the other team.

So how often does Brady complete more passes to his opponent than his own recievers? Barker is hot stinking garbage.

The season and the Stoops era are both shot to hell now. There's no point in taking the red shirt off any player that hasn't already played. New plan is to red shirt every one that it's possible to red shirt and just get to the end of the season.

Barker may not be the problem and I'm not sure he's the answer either but Aaron Rodgers would have problems with our Oline play. And unless Gunner Hoak can play both ways and coach he won't fix all the problems
