I sure do love seeing an arrow pass through to the other side of a deer

Killed an ol slick this morning. Passed on a decent non typical buck but one tag here caused some conservativism.

I also like that this was public land. Always more satisfying when I finally get to put my tax dollars to good use.

What state are you hunting in? I got lucky opening day and got a 17 1-2" spread 9 point with 23" beams, 10 1-2" G2's and that weighed 230 pounds. I'm finally gonna be able to go hunting again tomorrow through Saturday.

Yep.Getting them close ismuch moreexciting. Not to mention it is more than afair chase withtheir keen sense of smell and awareness when you are that close.

There are few WMAs in Arkansas that arebow only. I like it when gun season starts. I justabout get the places to myself.

He had about 14 inches of deductions on one side so he wont net very good. I still havent had him officially scored yet. Good luck. Youre hunting in the land of the giants.

if he grew it I'm counting it. the deductions are an outmoded scoring system. It was originally used for rams and modified for whitetail/mulies.
