Beams is done.
I hope you are right. He has failed to build a consistent winner like Kiffin and Drinkwitz have done. Last year, Sellers athleticism saved the season. Now teams know how to defense him and, we have no answer. Beamer does a poor job of hiring staff. I don't think his buyout is any more than Muschamp's was. IF fans stay away from the games, starting this week, that could be the match that lights the fuse. Stand by.

Cincinnati head coach? We’d be doing them a favor. They’ve called for his head the past 2 years and Louisville was elated when Cincy hired him away. The dude is 38-41 while coaching at the P5 level. So he would bring the same mediocrity Beamer has brought.

I don't agree. He won big at App. State. His teams at Louisville and UC have gotten better each year. I know someone who is a grad of UC. They love him and would be pissed off if he left.

The fact is that those 2 baseball national championships is what has put us in this football mess. Ex-players lobbied BOTH Tanner and the BOT. There was a contingent on the BOT who fell for the arguments made by the ex-players. and those BOT members let Tanner know their views. USC often shoots itself in the foot. We did it again with the Beamer hire.

He might be done but he ain't getting fired or resigning.
Not today, but it’s definitely on the horizon. A clueless cheerleader, pretending to be a manager, who can’t hire well or fix anything. If it’s true that players lobbied Tanner for Beamer, and players lobbied Beamer for Shula, these are 2 of the dumbest and laziest men ever to grace our Administration.

Cignetti would be insane to leave Indiana for literally anywhere. They can pay him, and he is doing it at a place where it could never be done. What an amazing coaching job.

His best team at Louisville was his first year. 8-5. And finished 7-5 in his last season, so may have gotten back to the 8-5 mark. But in between those sat below .500. And yeah, he’s improved with Cincinnati, but he was on hot seat going into this season. I’m from Ohio, and many of my friends that are around Cincinnati do not share the same sentiment as your friend.

At Louisville, he won 8 the first year. Yes, they went down the 2nd year.to 4 wins. But then he won 6 games and followed that up with 7 wins in his 4th and final season there. We don't know what kind of talent he was left with. But we do know he had them improving towards the end of his time there. UC thought enough of his work to then hire him from Louisville. At UC, he started off at 3-9. Then in his 2nd season went 5-7. And this year in his 3rd season at UC is 5-1. My goodness, a coach in his 2nd season on the "hot seat" after improving from the first season? That's interesting.

This is my issue with using an overall record. Good coaches often take over struggling teams, and over years build them up. But "over years" results in bad records for a while.

That pattern obviously didn't hold in the Louisville part.

If you’re looking at a coach. You have to look at his winning percentage through all of his stops. I guarantee you if you look at the top 10 best college football coaches now now. They have a winning percentage 64% higher at every stop, they’ve been at.

Well, if they stay long enough in a job, they then reap those good records.

But I remember one example. Took over a terrible team, went 1-10, then 6-6, then 10-1. That would be a fantastic job, but would be a .500 record.

To your point, if he's really good, his subsequent years would then bring that abverage up a lot.

I’m not saying I would’ve put him on the hot seat after 2 seasons, but I would say that was a very similar sentiment here going into year 4 with Beamer. Went bowling after years 1 and 2 with completely depleted teams, then took a step back, and had just made the Dowell Loggains hire, which was seen as abysmal going into the year.

I don’t see why Satterfield couldn’t also be on the hot seat from his fanbase as well using the same logic much of our fanbase uses.

The difference between Beamer and Satterfield is that Satterfield did show at App. State that he was Head Coach material. Beamer has never been even an OC or DC , not to mention Head Coach, prior to coming to USC. What we do know about Beamer is that he is a "nepo baby" who has been living on his father's reputation. Eventually, that has to come to an end.

The Russian coach at USF is having a good year so far, but only two previous years of experience both being 7-6. I'd rather have someone with more history of winning.

If you haven’t seen it check out this video from a Josh Pate segment a few years ago. I began listening to him more regularly after this. Had always suspected goofiness in Tanner’s/BoT’s hirings but little public information was available.

Beamer's buyout is chicken feed for SEC schools that care about football.

People keep saying Donati is smart, I hope they're right!
I hope so too. Know only that be came from TCU and isn’t Ray Tanner. It’s easily overlooked that the BoT has to approve the athletic department’s financial decisions. They approved the raises & extensions for Muschamp, Beamer, & Teaseley. Not assuming they up and found some genius AD, but maybe they did.
