. . . it's time that you did. I've seen this crap since the 1970s (Spurrier's run is the only exception). We have become a doormat of the SEC.

I love my school. I met my first wife there, had many great experiences, and love everything Gamecock; but….Ive come to realize we will never compete at the highest SEC levels consistently…in football. A few bright years, with a few bright stars isn’t going to cut it. A move to the SEC was dumb.
I get the frustration, I really do. I've been a fan for close to 60 years.
What's worse, firing coaches every 5 years or sticking with a coach who has a good season every 3 or 4 years?
I dont know the answer, but if you're a young person you're going to need thicker skin than most.

Gamecock football is like that old girlfriend; you know she is not right for you but you can't get her off your mind. BTW, I don't any old girlfriends just my lovely and charming wife. But, I know some people that have had old girlfriends they could not get off their minds.
But occasioned by the dumber move of leaving the ACC.
We've had some good years, three good years in a row at the most. Get the right people together and we could do that again. It's all about getting enough of the necessary pieces assembled at a given time.
But most of those people would lament it after a couple or three trips through the SEC - if it were about winning.
