then this shitstorm just went from major to Catholic Church major. That kind of cover up is monumental.

I sincerely think they should voluntarilyshut that program down a couple of years . Anything less and much of the country and their conference are never going to respect them again.

I think they clean house of the whole football administration but "sending a message" by shutting the program doesn't do **** and will really 17 up the university that gets major funding from football. Just clean house, new staff and administration.. And swift justice for ALL involved in the coverup including JoPa, any cops involved, even the current Governor. This is not smu

then we will never know if he is making it up or if it is a cover-up. Shirley there is a reporter out there or a lawyer out there searching for this information that likely doesn't exist.

But holy hell man, if there is a police report then some folks are going to have some explaining to do. I wonder if the kid's parentsthat McQueary saw were paid off. Uncle Sam would like to know. </p>

that all 'knew' what was going down. Averagetime theat the current coaches have been atPSU is 22+ years; newesthas been there for eight years; five of the eleven played at PSU. Easy to see that they were "all in" and what was good for PSU was good for them. Look at the news ... locals don't care about the kids as long as Joe Pa's rep is not tarnished and they keep on winning.

he didn't actually go to the police, but spoke with a VP of the university (one of the guys charged with perjury) who has organizational responsibility over the PSU police.

From what I have read he never spoke with a sworn officer.

He is still a Big *****....

He did not go to the real Police. He went to the Campus Security, what a joke. He should have gone to the State Police or local sheriff's department.
What did he expect the Campus Security to really do?

That`s the core problem with this whole debacle. In many of these people`s minds PSU was apparentlya sovereign state with it`s own laws and moral standards and how JoPa reacted to a situation really trumped the law , the golden rule or any other moral barometer of the outside world. Many have descibed it as "cult like". I`m starting to agree.

He's now trying to explain how he did the right thing by stopping the attack and going to the police. Problem is, that's not what his grand jury testimony says he did. From what I've seen, it says nothing about him stopping the attack and, as you mention campus security isn't really the same as going to the police (even though they probably are technically a part of the State College police dept.). The thing is, even if he did stop it and go to the police like he now claims, he still went to work every day for a decade with Sandusky right there and he did nothing about it. If he did go to Paterno and campus security and saw that nothing was done, like you say he should have gone to the state police or the local sheriff.

And people who think the way you do are not just part of the problem, they are the WHOLE problem. You are worried about the sports at a school who stood by and allowed a child rapist to continue bringing kids onto their campus. The problem is the entire culture at Penn State is so $#!#!+ up that the only way to fix it is to remove football for some time. I know they won't do it but I'll be damned if anyone will ever convince me that SMU hiding the cheating going on between consenting adults is worse than Penn State administration and coaches enabling a child rapist to continue for 10 years. I hope you don't truly believe that.
