does State increase Dan's salary to match it? I believe State will have to pay Dan $1 more than what OM pays their new coach. These Egg Bowl wins are sweet AND expensive.

now we will be in our 2nd in 3 years...thats progressing as a program.<div>
</div><div>Mullen doesnt need much of a bump- but his contract has incentives- just like Stands and Cohen- Mullen will make close to 3M after his incentives kick in for making a bowl...and he will be extended a year to keep his contract at the state max- thats good enough</div><div>
</div><div>The Bears arent hiring anybody for 3.5M- nobody that could command that salary will take that ******, Grenada North job</div>

should be in a bowl, in my opinion. I long for the days of my youth when bowls meant something. Now you have teams claiming they have been to bowls 14-15 years in a row, and it means nothing.

as it stands though bowl games do mean something and I would LOVE to be able to claim that we had gone 6-6 or better 14 years in a row. I understand what you mean but I would rather be playing in pointless bowl after pointless bowl then not.

Does finishing 5th in the SEC and getting a bid make it less desirable now? Or is it still an honor to make it?

Lots of teams out there wishing they were 6-6

I say Mullen's stock is relatively down compared to last year. This year has been less impressive than last year. <div>
</div><div>But...like stocks in real life, a stock price is as much or more about the rest of the market instead of fundamentals of a particular stock. And since lots of high profile jobs are open, I think that make's Mullen's stock go up.</div><div>
