I get the concern...i do...but if Mizz was comin in here and we were as banged up as they were..this board wouldnt give us a prayer of winning....all im saying
They are not coming here.
This is the first thing - all of our wins have been at home.
Secondly, like many other teams, our performance vs decent passing offenses has been suspect:
#24 Southern Miss - loss
#51 Florida - bad loss
MSU, USCjr, and Vandy all average less than 200 yards per game.
The one win we have vs a potent passing offense was versus #22 UNMS, who gained 500 yards and scored 42 points without their star offensive back and a starting OT.
Consider that Missouri is top 20 and the highest ranked passing team we will face outside of Louisville.
Missouri struggled with MTSU, but they are much different than us as they are a Top 10 passing team and avg 550 yards per game total.
They also lost to Top 20 passing team West Virginia in Morgantown.
Their other losses:
At Florida, at LSU, and by one to UGA.
Missouri strength of schedule as of today is #29.
UK SOS is 67th.
I agree with the others suggesting we focus on the ground game and control the clock.
This is a game we can and probably should win, but there are reasons why we are not a unanimous pick.
