I'm just happy we won. Kudos to CMS and the boys for the W. Now keep proving us wrong and win. I'll be more than happy to take my lumps if we're bowling.
We can do "if"s all we want. But we arent making a bowl. I will congratulate Stoops also if he does, but no way this defense stops Missouri, no way on earth we beat Bama, Ville or Tennessee. Georgia and MSU are possible wins but we can never seem to beat those teams in their down years. I dont see why everyone gets a hard on for another USCjr win every year, only to be let down right after. USCjr sucks. We may not even win another SEC game. We played a pretty great game and still barely beat a bad USCjr team. Thats kind of telling. Vandy beat WKU, I dont think we could beat WKU. I see 3-9 as more likely than 5-7
Stoops BARELY beat a team in its first year of a new coaching era, in his fourth....not good.
The defense looked great, but again SC has one of the worst offense in the country.
SC could beat Louisville. That's how much better the SEC is than most of the country.
I've seen a lot of trolling here lately. This one belongs in the trolling HOF.
 Just sayin.....UL doesn't play our schedule and never will....It's about time we start beating them and become the top program in the state.
Reported and blocked, Louisville fan. There isn't a P5 team in the country that wouldn't want to play Vandy, USC, MSU and Mizzou every year. Or to take it one step further, who wouldn't want to play in the SEC LEast? In addition to the two non-conference cupcakes and a USM team that hadn't had a P5 win in 16 years, UK also plays Florida and Georgia - two teams that are rebuilding.

Ahhhh, more patience. At this point the season is still young and more info is needed to determine Stoops' fate. We won an SEC game and looked OK in the process. Part of it was our D, part of it was South Carolina's putrid offense. That's why we can't cast judgement based on one game.
Still an uphill battle. In order to make a bowl we will either need to go 4-4 minimum in the SEC or beat Louisville. Either feat would be impressive for Stoops. Whether he gets to a bowl with a 4-4 conference record or a win over Louisville, I think he's earned the right to coach in 2017 (we can leave the buyout talk for another time).

MSU was #1 in the country 24 months ago.
Thanks in large part to Barney, the Cards led by Petrino are now the elite team in the State and they will abuse the Cats most every year for the foreseeable future. It didn't have to be that way, in fact it should never have happened, but it did and it makes me want to puke. Thanks Mitch.
I give you zero credit for our basketball program's success and look where you have taken our football program - fighting for third best in KY.

People act like Mizzou is a world beater. They scored 11 against WVU, the 108th ranked defense. They lost at home to UGA who barely beat Nicholls. They scored 70+ against a winless 1-AA team which gave up 56 points to another 1-AA team.

So USC sucks but they beat Vandy st Vandy. The also lost to aTm By only 11. Mizzou scored 7 points this week. Maybe I am confused.
If you are trying to use the concept of comparative scoring to figure out who's good and who isn't, it is very likely you're confused.
Technically, Joker teams was full SEC players as well.I'll go ahead and speak to the fools who think they know football.
First, USC is an SEC team full of SEC players. To downplay this win is self serving and disrespectful of the players on both sides of the ball. So you want to be happy for the players but not happy for the coaches?
If Stoops stays or goes will have nothing to do with you, or me, or any fan who thinks that anyone of importance cares what is said here.
These sites are for self important people who think they are way smarter than they really are and proves it with every post.
If you are going to be happy about a win include everyone including the coaches, and all the staff. They all work very hard and you should know that.
Then what method do you use?
I don't know about the entirety of this post, but the SEC East has really been done the last several years. It's difficult to argue against that. It was the perfect time for UK to pick up more conference wins than it has. There isn't a P5 team in the country that wouldn't want to play Vandy, USC, MSU and Mizzou every year. First of all, I don't make it a habit of predicting the outcome of events I have no control over - especially when it comes to sports.
But once a contest has started, I use the eye test to tell me who's better on that particular day. And I use the scoreboard.

It's not huge. THose guys weren't difference makers anyway. Hatcher if focused is the only one you can make an argument for. Still Hatcher was only focused for about 2 games out of his 3 year career. Besides that.... well go back and pull up the thread that discussed their stats so far against lower level competition. It's not impressive. I think the guys we have now, for better or worse, would be playing right now even if those 3 were eligible.Fact is, we lost Hatchert, Meant, and Tubman.....That is huge. Stoops is not playing with much on Defense.
That's a silly point - nobody could tell you all the injuries that were going to occur. That's the nature of football. So you expected us to have Stephen Johnson starting and a freshman RB racking up TDs? No, every team has problems but they work through them and adjust.
We still do not think Stoops is the guy. We are happy for our players on this win. And they deserve props. Yeah it was against one of the worst offenses in the country but we had one of the worst D's, its a little progress.
In year 4 we should be looking to beat someone besides Vandy or USCjr. It is pretty clear Vandy may be our only other SEC win but its good for our players. This USCjr team will likely not win another SEC game, maybe 1 more win period, but its an SEC win that our players love. Next year under our new coach they will feel comfortable vs a Vandy(if we beat them) or a USCjr. Which is important for confidence.
I think everyone still feels the same about Stoops and still wants him gone but theres nothing wrong with being happy for our players.
Out coaching Steve Spurrier was pretty nice, but outcoaching USCjr with a horrifying offense lead by a FR QB and a new HC and coaching staff isnt. Ecspecially after 4 years and players all recruited by Stoops to fit his system. Benny Snell would still be getting only a couple carries if jojo wasnt out last week. Stoops didnt/doesnt impress anyone in the least.
TTU, No, I don't want to see Coach Stoops gone. If he can't get the job done, by that I mean win 6 games this year, or win 5 and be very competitive with Tenn., and Louisville, I want to see him gone, but I don't think that will happen this year.
I still hope he is the person to make us a winner. I was impressed with our defense tonight, and most of our players are underclassmen, and will be back next year. Has he made a lot of mistakes, you bet he has? He has found out there is a lot of difference in being the Captain versus the CoPilot. When your the CoPilot, you don't have to make decisions, and your A$$ isn't on the line. When your the Captain, you must live with your decisions, right or wrong.
I NEVER want to see anyone fail, and I don't now.
OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

What did your eyes tell you today? How about the scoreboard?
We are those with common sense and realize the opponent we played tonight was fairly sad (New HC, Staff, FR QB, horrifying offense). If you want Stoops back next year the way things are now then you may be a UK fan but you do not care all that much about UK football.
Stoops in year 4 beats a bad, young, team with a new coaching staff, FR QB, and unathletic team. And I am supposed to be impressed that Stoops was able to out coach them (barely)? Im not that easily amused.
It was the kind of game that you know whoever has the ball last is going to lose. There are five really bad football teams in the SEC. Remarkably, 4 of them are in the SECE and 4 of them are on UK's schedule.
Who are you listing? You say 4 are in the east and then you say 4 are on our schedule. Are you not including us in the four teams or do you have four more that you think are really bad football teams?
[roll]I was surprised by tonight's results but yeah, I'm not giving Stoops an extension quite yet.
Georgia received enough votes to be considered the 26th team inthe country is bad to mediocre.SC, UK, Vandy and Mizzou with UGA teetering between bad and mediocre.
MSU is the 4th bottom feeder on the schedule.
So you expected us to have Stephen Johnson starting and a freshman RB racking up TDs? No, every team has problems but they work through them and adjust. If you want to find excuses, you can find one evry single year. All UK football ever is is "if". Which gets old. We are the 3rd worst in the SEC east, still. We barely beat a terrible USCjr team. This is the 3rd year running everyone goes crazy after the USCjr game only to be let down. Lets stay calm. This is a good win for our players but this isnt where an SEC team should be with a year 4 coach...Stoops stinks. Ask any college football fan, they will tell you the same.
