I turned 40 earlier this year and I swear I've become grumpier, maybe it's because of all the stupid crap that fills the news these days. I'm so tired of folks wanting to be recognized as something different than what they are because the "feel" or "believe" they are a certain gender. My wife keeps giving me updates on some boy that thinks he's a girl and is upset that he can't use the girls bathroom/locker room to change. WTF??? I may think I'm a great basketball player but that doesn't mean I am. I can think I can fly but that doesn't mean I can. Sadly our world seems to be lacking a big dose of reality. Everyone is allowed to be whatever they want, unless it's deemed taboo however just give it a few years and what's taboo today will be the norm 20 to 30 years from now.

There's plenty more that bugs me but this was just the one that happened to be fresh on my mind. Now you kids get off my lawn!!!

WTH is wrong with folks these days.

I saw that story. The boy, who considers himself a girl, wanted to use the girl's locker room and bathrooms. The school is going to allow it which has many parents up in arms. I am not closed minded to this type of thing but I can tell you if I had a daughter I would not be comfortable with the situation at all, especially in a high school setting. As part of the story they showed another school that is putting in unisex facilities. I guess that is where we are going to end up.

My wife brought up an interesting point. She said that a lesbian still uses the women's facilities because she has the same "equipment" as the other women she's attracted to. I realize sexual orientation and gender identity are separate issues but doesn't there have to be some standard for settling these issues? If there isn't then we are basically going to be forced into unisex everything.

Glad I am not the only one. I turn 50 at the end of this year. My wife accuses me of turning into a grumpy old man at least once a week.

I think my biggest problem with millennialis is they think they are so damned creative and productive because of social media. In reality, 99.99999% of them are neither creative nor priductive.
Still not as bad as the baby boomers. They're insufferable.

Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of folks who don't believe in standards of any kind for anything and this is just one example.... Look at the problem that San Francisco has with people deficating in the streets/sidewalks....That is a public health issue, among other things and no one in power there seems to want to do anything about it...
