I'm not sure we can get better offensively. Our best receiver Morgan drops at least 2-3 catchable balls each game. our OL is atrocious. We have no running game without Tre. Do we even have a D-1 tight end on the roster?? no disrespect. Had Riley been Nick Saban, I'd be more optimistic. I'm not surprised at all that we are where we are with Riley.

I can't believe I'm saying this I'm a lifelong husker fan I grew up in Omaha I've been to countless games good and bad including the 2001 national championship where I sat with the Miami fans. Funny thing is I thought that was a low point for the program considering how badly we played .

We have fallen so much lower that I'm completely defeated.

I hate to say it but we need to break the streak in order to have the school do the right things apparently Sean Is buddies w chancellor.

Frankly the chancellor and loser shawn need to go.

Best case with Riley is that he would give us back the money we paid him and apologize and retire completely

I started a thread about this last week and got crucified. I agree with you, we need a financial disruption to get the universities attention. We keep filling the stadium because we have the best fans in college football and the catch 22 is that our university continues to be profitable, hence no urgency to invest in a top coach.

Look at Alabama before Saban.. They weren't selling out and were starting to lose interest and boosters.. Well all that changed thanks to investing in a topflight coach. Nebraska can afford it!

I don't get criticizing the players but not laying blame at the feet of the coaches. (Maybe he said it, but it's not being reported.) Here is his reference to the coaches from the article.

I don't think now is the time for him to be putting down the players and propping up himself and the leadership. Yet, while he puts down the players, "The players have to do better" he talks about how he is staying positive. (I'm sure it's the whole school bus stuff he loves.)
