Our defense played good enough to win @ LSU af night. Considering everything we lost from last year, Im proud of this defense. Its so sad that the offense is so atrocious. The silver lining of this ****show is Sellers probably comes back in 2026 and the portal is available to go get some O linemen and others. Just hope we can keep Sellers, Stewart and others

I thought they lost too much on defense to warrant the preseason hype and ranking. And they did, but defense isn’t the reason the season has brought so much frustration. Didn’t play well against Vandy, at Mizzou was so-so but they also got no help from the other side of the ball.
They need to be commended for the improvement in tackling. That had been an inexplicable problem at times and they have tightened up. We’ve seen defenses with that issue several times and it didn’t get corrected

Replacing all that talent on D was going to be hard, but they've done a great job.

I remember reading (and agreeing) that we would need to outscore other teams in higher scoring games because we returned so much on offense, and were rebuilding on defense. And the opposite has happened.
