According to the Knoxville News Sentinel

From Butch Jones's press conference

“I met with Jalen Hurd this morning and we had a conversation and I have a great relationship with Jalen. He has informed me he intends to transfer and I support him on that,” Jones said. “I am very, very thankful for everything he has done for our football program.”

Word is he's been unhappy with the way he's been used.

They will be a handful against us. Dobbs will remind us of how a real athletic quarterback can play against us. It will take an 06 effort against them to keep us in the game. We should have one that game down there. I remember hearing the pads pop on every hit we made on them. And of course the illegal procedure against Woodson when we were getting ready to go in for 6.

It's funny how they always blame the kids, UT is trying to recruit on a level of Alabama and is promising and lying to the world. I mean he has had a few of the 5 star guys bailing. This is pretty much what happens when you don't do right by the kid, Cal has stressed this. He has very few problems, some transfer because they get recruited over. Hurd has played hurt, he was considered top 10 player in Gallatin. I mean this is not the first high star guy to leave or bail. You have now a pattern that the UT staff is only out for themselves, not doing what is best for player.
You have this in recruiting circles blowing up. Sure you want to go there, see what they did to sure fire AA in Hurd. Terrible program control.

Butch Jones lied when he said he did not intimidate the player who witnessed the rape and sexual deal off campus. He called the player in the morning, phone records don't lie, he ordered a code red on the kid and a few more to guys who did not buy into program and shut up and not tell on your brothers regardless, some have coaches and police calling victims themselves and family.

Butch denied this along with Hart, fight it not letting them push us around. They settled because they lied and denied the phone call took place or the intimidation of witnesses. They lied and said it did not happen, you can't fool the team, players don't like being lied to. You have to be transparent and truthful to your players. They see right through it.

Well, more power to Hurd.
Tennessee can either fold or pull together and run the table. Other than their game against us, I gotta say don't really care.

I just think Tennessee and their coaches really don't have a grip on reality. they easily could be 0-8. They thought they had changed the tide in Knoxville but in reality they are quite the same as they have been under jones. Team turmoil this late in the season is nothing but bad news for the volunteers. Not saying we'll win against those punks but make no mistake we will give them a dog fight
