Jamboree at Wake Forest

Wake Forest hit good and looks strong again in beating Enloe 21-0. Up 7-0 at the half and defense looks way ahead of offense.

New Hanover crushed Millbrook.

Southern Durham over Apex Friendship in an ugly, defensive struggle.

The reason I went: Middle Creek. They lost to Cardinal Gibbons 24-14.
The good: QB has a live arm and quick enough feet. Defensive line is quite good. LBs solid but they will miss Maya.

The bad: Secondary is weak. Soft and can't cover. QB needs to make better decisions and toughen up on runs. WRs dropped too many balls.

Overall, not a great outing but I think the offense will keep them in some games this year.

Now its time to head home and get in a chair with my bourbon.

I didn't get to see that one, but that's what I heard as well. EF is the defending 4A champ, right. I heard they were much bigger on both lines and could run the ball while MC could not at all.

I noticed NH wasn't ranked in the top 40 of the new HSOT eastern poll. Don't know if it was an oversight or if they just missed it. They will be pretty good this year.
