The right hire? Who did you have in mind? Urban Meyer? Jim Harbaugh? Nick Saban?[/Q
How about Bobby Petrino or Mike Leach...Oh my god I said those two awful names!! Bet the fanbase would be happy campers right now and we probably get Harris and Wills. "Keep doing what you always did, you get you always got"...

Was told by someone who worked with his father that Wills won't go to Kentucky! Said he wants Jedrick to go to Alabama-1st, Notre Dame-2nd! Kentucky's chances-10%
After yesterday, sure ND moved to #1. :cool2:

I thank he will go to Bama, but if Ky could get to 6 wins and a bowl, maybe the impossible could happen and he come to UK..
Wills won't sign with Kentucky. He has been traveling and studying his options for months. His own coach says it will be Alabama. And why not? Any great football prospect would be honored by an Alabama offer. The suggestion that Kentucky winning a 6th game might change his mind at the end is silly. It just gives you more false reasons to attack Stoops when Wills doesn't pick Kentucky.

There's nothing wrong with what Willis is doing. He's keeping a small eye on the home school but giving us no indication we have a chance, much less the favorite. He's not leading catwalks, sporting U.K. Gear all over, BBN every other word from his mouth for months while he knows he is going to Bama. He's not telling the coaches to not worry about recruiting other tackles....

Nothing wrong with him. He just doesn't think we offer much and compared to Alabama he's right

We will get some good guys. Willis just won't be one of them

If true then Wills needs to do the right thing and let UK's staff know this in no uncertain terms, and to move on and recruit another OT.

Personally, I would then have a very quiet announcement and get on to Tuscaloosa.

Good thing guys like Landon Young, Kash Daniel and Drake Jackson don't agree with him.

Maybe he has. UK's working thru several OTs, are generally thought to lead for a DC area prospect for instance and may be in on others as well. And who knows, maybe Wills ends up at UK. Point is coaches know more about their standing with a prospect than fans, media and the so called recruiting "experts."

I like the way Wills is doing his recruitment ...not a lot of fanfare or social media. I sure wish JW would stay home and be a HERO!!!

Why waste the effort to write or even think about a Kentucky kid who wants to go to any other school than UK?

Either you have a love to play for UK and you are living your dream or your not. If your a great lineman, the NFL will find you no matter if you go to UK, Bama, or Morehead St.

You people that complain about a local kid going to UK games and accepting love from UK and then going elsewhere don't understand how all of this works. Until he signs, everything can change. We are hoping to sign a quarterback that has an OSU tattoo because he got over recruited. Because he didn't keep his options open, he is struggling to find somewhere his senior year. That is the process. No such thing as a verbal "commitment." Until they sign, they are not ours, and often, until they sign, they don't know where they are going.

BTW, if I lived in Lexington and grew up a UK fan, was getting recruited by Alabama and had made my mind up to go to Alabama, I would take every free ticket I was given. The coaches know what they are doing.

I get the feeling Walker is going to produce here, what ever position that may be. A Dicky Lyons vibe.. he is just a straight up football player.
I agree, good comparison although I think Walker is a better athlete.

Wills is not leading anyone on IMHO,he has been up front with the staff. The staff is doing what they should be doing(EVER) thing they can to still try and convince him.Might work might not but the effort was there by both.

You people suck. Like everyone that said Harris won't play at Alabama, and now he is playing great. Get over yourself.

Is he? I haven't watched much Alabama football, so I honestly don't know. I do know I haven't seen him on ESPN or any other major sports network this year.

Playing great? If Harris had come to Kentucky it wouldn't have matter, because he is not a game changer. He is nowhere close to the great backs that Alabama have had in the past. Saturday, he rarely broke any tackles and went down on initial contact most of the time. His long runs, both that I watched he was 10 yards down field before he was hit. There are alot of backs in the SEC if they ran behind that line would look damn good. I'm sorry, if he had come to Kentucky and ran behind this line, I don't think he would have been a game changer.

I didn't say he wouldn't play. I don't care where he goes. Just saying no one will be able to tell, being he plays on the interior line. Matt Elam is getting burned because everyone keeps their eyes on him. Wills doesn't want that.

Ryan Lemond said on the radio (while coming out of sedation) that Wills is 100% committed to Alabama.
Saban does not play that game, a recruit cant give a secret verbal to them & expect to have a spot locked up & reserved for him come signing day

if he wants the Bama scholly he has to have a ceremony & publicly say he is committed, and that he will be taking zero visits & zero phone calls. THEN Saban will allow him to be committed.

He's not going to Kentucky and it has very little, if anything, to do with Stoops! People are upset because we lost to Southern Miss. Get over it! The defense has drastically improved since the beginning of the season!

Why give the guy all this attention. Everyone knows he is going to sign with Alabama. just cut ties and focus on others that we have a real chance at signing. But I'm sure he will have a front row seat to every home basketball game this season as well. He is old enough to fight for his country and that makes him a grown *** man. So stop with all the kid ****

0% chance according to Ryan Lemond, and he would know. He's been very close to the Willis camp from day one and he's already been told that Jedrick's firmly committed to going to Alabama.

If he is so firmly committed then he should announce it!! I guess he fears fans booing him during his season. But on the other hand Ryan Lemond has made foolish statements in the past and been proven wrong! I seriously doubt that Wills go to UK and I am okay with that but don't count out Michigan. It would be foolish to say it isn't a loss but it is one we can survive. I think it will hurt perception of our program more than anything else.

Cats are going to do the best they can on the field and "in the living room" (assuming another sit) and then he is going to do whatever he and his parents are most comfortable with. There's no point in agonizing over it. He is being a class act about his recruitment, and the staff is doing its best. If, as seems likely, he heads out of state, there is no reason to take a crap on him, or our staff. I still think a bowl season, particularly on a 7-5 record, might sway him to Cats, but even then, only "might".

The argument that we let kids defend us is not compelling.

Wills is a real talent. I hope he comes to UK, regardless of the current sentiment, but always desire to see Kentucky kids excel wherever they play. He deserves attention. Hopefully he is as good a person as a football player. If not, he has potential to be and better. I wish him the best.

Would LOVE to see JW stay at home and be a HERO, but UM vs Ala...that about 3-4ft of snow and COLD weather vs southern weather...NO contest to me.

BBBLazy, It's not about him going to Alabama, it's the way he did it, and his actions since. Evidently you think misleading someone, or lying is acceptable. Most people don't.

He did not commit to Kentucky. Showing interest is not misleading or lying. He committed to Michigan and changed his mind. Those people aren't bitching because they understand recruiting. I think it is hilarious how our fans really want a player until he goes elsewhere, then the player sucks. BTW, making cute little nick names makes someone your age look stupid.

BBBLazy, I never said he lied. Read what I said, prior to responding. As far as misleading, he did, and he admitted that. He said he only attended the games at UK so he could enjoy the perks. It was also his behavior after going to Alabama.
With your attitude, I doubt if you will make it to my age. Some of your post on here, makes me doubt your knowledge of football. That's OK, keep following the game and you will learn it.
