The late John F . Kennedy was perhaps one of America’s most beloved Presidents. He also was one of America’s best at being a womanizer and cheat. So , who is worse you say? DT or JFK ?
The presidents mentioned are not the only ones that had a taste for women besides their wives

Thomas Jefferson had a child out of wedlock

Warren Harding allegedly had affairs with at least two women. One of the alleged mistresses was Nan Britton, who claimed to have given birth to Harding's daughter Elizabeth Ann. The second long time affair Harding had was with a woman by the name of Carrie Fulton Phillips. When Harding received the nomination for candidacy for President from the Republican party, she threatened to come forward and reveal the affair if she was not compensated. The Republican National Committee paid her $50,000 to avoid a scandal.
Some people believe however, Warren Harding's wife poisoned him.

FDR's alleged true love was not Eleanor but a woman by the name of Lucy Mercer.

Dwight Eisenhower when commander of the Allied Forces in WW2 had an affair with his personal driver Kay Summersby.

Lucy and Kay were Patriots
who took care of our president and our commander of Allied Forces
and where are the thanks given to them.

Who is worse? Take a stab. False equivalency. BTW I don't it ever being established that JFK was a cheat--may be wrong there, if so, I stand corrected.

Yeah ….that’s s the point most did whether they were either / or it did not matter. How many men here have had multiple relationships in marriage or common law ? I do realize today not many under age 30 have spouse as was an old custom. Some straight males here have never been with a woman … That was quite evident in a recent posting.

Oh your inability to remember the pristine Dem President’s known transgressions. Reason why you don’t remember JFK ‘s issues ? He did not have the media scum for the past 45 -50 years.

Are you serious? I know this going down the wrong road and too political. Kennedy was certainly flawed with women. But his public integrity, his handling of the Cuban Missle Crises, his intelligence. he was without a doubt one of the best read Presidents ever. His concern about the emerging Civil Rights movement. His questioning of our involment in Vietnam. I don’t even want to mention someone who doesn’t understand the Constitution, has absolutely no qualms about creating his own rules and has absolutely no respect for American tradition in any way. His anti intellectualism , his demogoguery. His bent toward Authoritarinism. Yet it doesn’t matter. If the individual gets nominated for 2024, I’m sure he will get about 65 -70 million votes. That tells you all you need to know about the good ole USA currently.

On the news the other day, a poll was taken in 1996 and 78 % of this country said they were patriotic to the US. The results of this poll in
2023, 32% percent patriotic. Kennedy? High
nineties. The whole country was behind him.
And don't worry about Jackie, it didn't take
long for her to hook the richest man (and old man) on the planet.

Is it me or do these two quotes seem to say the opposite? The first seems to claim that Chappaquiddick was nothing and teh second saying someone is avoiding JFK's issues.

And this one by someone else...

WTH.. authoritarianism? I'm sorry, both the guy before him and guy after him have proven to misuse the power of the presidency while the guy in the middle gets attacked for it (you really do not want me to list all the ways.. it will be embarrassing.. so don't pretend that you do not know). It's like when Bama cheats outright but Jacksonville State gets the book thrown at them for imaginary paperwork issues.

Yeah.. and moved to Greece to get away from... well, there's a lot of suspicions... and probably was the reason Jackie insisted JFK's papers were locked away for 75 years.. so she'd be dead already. I think 95% of his papers.. that we know of.. that weren't destroyed.. are now public (of sorts). But STILL.. they hide away a small percentage... why? To protect sources who are already dead of old age?

Now to get back to the topic of Jim Brown.
I keep reading about how he was unstoppable.
How about you young ones look up The NY Giants Sam Huff. I don't know how it is so
easy to change history. Huff vs Brown was
the biggest event in football in those days,
Great memories for me.

As mentioned earlier, career-wise he did pretty good against the Giants.

14 games, averaged around 5yds per carry (which is about his career average too) and 9 TDs.

Sure but you’re a fan of JB and the clown show. Good luck buddy and guess what? We all are in B1G trouble ahead most of the voting public , if they were being honest , would see it for what it is. With the reality of things on the horizon JB ( from his handlers) knows exactly this is . He should understand people are seeing things they actually don’t want to see here as a country.

WV just happened to be the college he played for when most old time NY Giant fans think about Sam Huff.
He was an All American for the Mountaineers , but as a Tackle
Thank Vince Lombardi for Sam becoming a Giant great.

My my aren’t you the DT hater. Do you feel better now? By the way Percy did I make any claim that DT was absolved or innocent of some questionable things? No… I didn’t. JFK , RFK , DT and numerous other politicians. CEO’s , billionaires , celebrities and athletes have strayed off the path of righteousness. Maybe you have as well. Lastly , you need to treat the DTS you still suffer from. He’s been out of office over 2+ years. The guy we all need to be careful of is the guy who “ all of sudden needs to get back from the G-7” . Remember he is blameless for all of the issues today. God only knows it’s many. Have a happy Sunday Percy.

It happened on his watch. And after the fiasco at Vienna which might we'll have encouraged Khrushchev he did a hell of a job. But he was not alone his ability to handle a crisis of that magnitude. At a minimum, Bush 41 and his team had that capability. And I doubt either the current president nor his immediate predecessor do.

No , I only followed what someone else led off with… I am cute even at age 73…Well, is your claim that Bobby ( RIP ) and Theodore were not known as womanizers . Funny how as a 4th -5th grader in a Catholic school it was beneficial to look at JFK as the saint of society. Was he? Did he really warrant that status? No…I will say the handling of Nikita Krushchev and CMC was a good / strong move. There are not many in DC who would have balls / guts to stand up to USSR. See I voted both sides of the aisle since ‘71. I’d bet you have never veered off the path of the strict vote only one way. So you actually
are the true cult guy . Most on that side followed the paths of their parents. You would rather cut off you left arm than vote the other way. You should hope JB makes some better choices in the next week.

good CE conversation belongs in the CE board
Yet some seem to want to infect sports talk with their political views.
Are you still drinking? Never saw him in a Jints uni as a tackle. Never said anything other than his games with JB . I saw him live for years as a kid . Not sure you are old enough to have witnessed a player like Huff up close and personal.
guess your good conversation means insults and being wrong while throwing them out .
Sam Huff played tackle while at West Virginia, unless you think my saying
"WV just happened to be the college he played for when most old time NY Giant fans think about Sam Huff.
He was an All American for the Mountaineers , but as a Tackle" means Sam Huff was with the Jints in College.
Maybe a bit of drug rehab might be in order for you or the reason you want to talk politics when sports is the issue.

You can talk about seeing him play, but when talking about Sam Huff, have the decency to know a bit about him before you talk trash and make a fool out of yourself by showing you don't know enough about Sam Huff to be the expert you imply you are about him.
Sam Huff played Tackle and Guard when he was a Mountaineer and was made a MLB by Tom Landry after the Giants drafted hin and Lombardi talked him out of leaving training camp

Learn before you mouth off, this isn't a political discussion where denying the truth is just as likely as facts being accepted
Maybe you can drink to that 😁

By the way we can discuss without insults being part of it, I've seen some Rutgers and sports related things you posted that I totally agree with and I feel you are a true Rutgers fan.
I seek no arguments, just good sports related discussions where even when there are disagreements respect is shown

As for old enough, was a big fan of the Conerly ,Gifford ,Webster -Triplett
backfield with Rosey paving the way

Now you're really veering all over the lot in an effort to be right. Try not to traffic in alternative facts. And by the way, if the shoe fits wear it.

With regard to JFK, I was a young man of 20 when he was shot. There was a terrific positive spirit throughout the country during his time in office. Even life long Republicans grudgingly admired JFK. Maybe not so much with "black"[as in hearted] Republicans.

JFK’s Harvard’s Application essay:
Image
His family were bootleggers.

His family supported Hitler and the Nazis.

He had a father who desperately wanted a son to be president and to whitewash his support for Hitler so he insisted they become heroes... getting his oldest and "chosen one" killed.

He got his boat sunk by allowing a destroyer to run over it... then he became a "hero".

He wins a Pulitzer for "Profiles in Courage" which was presumably really written by his speechwriter, Sorenson.

He had dead men vote in Chicago to beat Nixon in '60.

He names his brother Attorney General.

He failed with his handling of Castro and Cuba and especially the Bay of Pigs.

He got us deeply involved in Vietnam.

Yeah.. so much to admire.. besides all of the above. Camelot, indeed. And if you stacked up his political stances today.. He would fall squarely among the GOP camp in terms of left vs right.

That’s your typical off based opinion rudad02. You are attempting to bait me into your bias… not gonna happen ….so if correct you are about 80 years old? If you missed it I did prop up JFK. I also can tell you I have voted on both sides of the aisle many times. Have you did the same. Would you like my guess? See you keep going back to color … why is that? We will never see positive change if we continue to call one group racist. I just came back from 3 weeks on Oahu Hawaii… and many there both native Hawaiian , white and black people don’t like what they see
happening daily. And once again I mentioned I did respect JFK and Bobby but Teddy not so much. You overlooked that part. Finished with you pops … now go to sleep … we are done..
