We went to PCB for my daughter’s former team’s soccer tournament to hang out with friends that are still on the team. Games were at 12 and 6 so we planned on going to the first game, going to lunch then I was going to stay behind to watch State, then Uber to the second soccer game. We went to a wings place called Christo’s recommended by Hot Mop and even though the Cocktail party was on and the place was full of Gators they gave me two TVs. We finished up right before half and everyone else wanted to go to the hotel to rest up. I reluctantly agreed and we stopped at a liquor store since the hotel did not have a bar. I went to the front desk and asked to change the channel and they did not have the SEC network. I called around to different bars and Craft Bar said they had it. My wife drove me to The Craft Bar and dropped me off. Went inside got a spot and asked to turn it to SEC network. They said they did not have it they thought they did. Walked to TRH, (pk would be proud), they said they normally have it but some error screen kept popping up. They were so apologetic and offered me free rolls. So I walked to Chili’s same thing. DirectTV came up with another error. At this point I said 17 it I’m ubering to D&B. I get there and the bar is half full but every TV is on the cocktail party. They said that they don’t like changing the channels for Florida games because people at tables are watching all of the 12 TVs I guess? I told the bartender. I will pay you $50 on top of what will be a substantial bar tab if one of those TVs changes to the Ms State game now. At this point we were down 14 so I had no hope. She gets a manager, they move me to a corner and get the TV changed right away. Once that Tv was turned on, the comeback started. When we scored the go ahead, the bartenders, managers, and several UF fans started cheering. Paid my tab, caught an Uber to the soccer game and strutted up that sideline with my State hoodie and all the soccer parents applauded. Went to Topgolf after and lost to a 14 year old that had never played golf before. The capper was another soccer parent went to TRH and were at the bar talking about how happy I was about State winning. The bartenders overheard them and asked, Are you talking about Brian? Did he ever find a place to watch the game. They were happy to find out that I got to see the victory.
