I think this dude is gonna restore the glory of this rivalry. He’s great from an X’s and O’s perspective and has a huge amount of fight. Watched the post game presser and he was entertaining while being upset about the L. I think UofL got the right guy. Don’t want to lose any games against y’all but expect to over the next few years. IMO Louisville is headed back to a top 10 program under his leadership.

With the hiring of Pat Kelsey UofL definitely hired the right man for the job. A 5-Star coach that is without question going to once again make the UK vs. UofL rivalry the top rivalry in college basketball. With Kelsey you guys are on your way back to being a Top-10 team. If it wasn't for the injuries you would already be nationally ranked. The only problem I have with Kelsey is he seems to be such a good guy, that as a UK fan I can't help but like him.

He's gotta recruit, the portal players he brought in are good, give effort, coachable, but lacking top tier skills (couple of exceptions there). This year was rushed, let's see how he brings new guys in that can hoop.

Agree. If he can land a couple guys like Mikel Brown Jr. to go with guys like Khani it would bode well. Adding in some experienced portal players with a young, talented core would be ideal. Some guys with elite athleticism and good shot making abilities.

I don't think he really had a good grasp on the type of talent it took to compete at this level. I'd be willing to bet he's never coached the level of talent he has right now and he probably thought he had the roster loaded. Granted, without injuries, it would've been a pretty strong roster but probably not top 10-15.

After this season he will have a better feel for the level of talent he needs to go after.. I love the guy being our coach..

Cardiac, Pat has been in coaching for quite a long time. After coaching at Elder, he was asst. coach at Xavier with Skip Prosser, and followed him to Wake Forest. Coached Chris Paul and Jeff Teague along with other future NBA players. Coached under Dino Guadio, then Chris Mack at Xavier. Believe that he coached at Wake and Xavier were same level as UL prior to being Head Coach at Winthrop and C of C.

Wake and Xavier are not the same level as UL. That's weak AF. Outside of that i really like PK!

Yep and I think you guys did well. Pope is pretty hard to dislike. He recognizes the need for the rivalry and is very respectful. Definitely an upgrade in my opinion. Think it’s going to be fun to watch over the years. Still want to clobber you guys but hey that’s what a rivalries about.
