If we could beat either Mizzou or UGA, just getting to 4-4 in the SEC would be incredible. I'm pretty sure we've only accomplished that once since the 70s (2006).

Beating both and having a winning SEC record would be the first time that's ever happened in my lifetime (and I'm over 30).

Crazy thought....if we take care of business next week against Mizzou, and find a way to take out a mediocre UGA team at CWS......we will likely be playing for a berth in the SEC championship game against UT in Knoxville.

We also will need UF to lose not once but twice. At LSU and at Arky are our best hopes.
I'm afraid Georgia on neutral field and South Carolina in Swamp ain't going to help UK.

All that having been said--we're not a great football team. The SEC east + Miss St is as bad as it's ever been in my lifetime. I would LOVE to have one of those decent Brooks teams this season.
It ain't pretty, but it is winning.....and in the end winning is all that matters. If we beat Mizzou (no easy task to win on the road in the SEC against ANYONE).....this season has the chance to be special. With a UM win (and an almost certain A/Peay victory) we're bowling, and the UGA game could be within reach also. I've been critical of CMS (more so re: the AD), but hats off to the HC, staff and team (I hope I don't jinx them).

PS: Q: What do you call a team that wins ugly? A: A winner!

GBB!

I was as pissed off as the rest of the fan base after the Florida game. After the new Mexico st game I thought we will be lucky to win four games this year. Nobody thought this team would be 4-3 after those first three games. The team looked terrible and didn't play with any heart. The defense is now a team strength and the team seems to pride itself on being physical. keep improving and this season could be special

Some of you are getting ahead of yourselves. Let's take care of Missouri first.

Stop justifying the victories by downplaying the opponents. Yes they are down, but we are beating them so as of this week we can't say we are cellar dwellers. We have to be able to beat these teams before we can think of beating the upper echelon teams.

The fan base also seems to have the defeatist mentality that this will only be a one or two year thing and that all those other teams will get back to their Championsip caliber levels (tongue firmly in cheek) while we just continue to languish in the cellar. We are upgrading our talent level each year, and now we are winning against the SEC teams we should be able to beat. Baby steps, we just need to beat these other teams to the top of the east. We need to take advantage of the down years and use it to build our program up.
