I've seen Mr. Morrison's documentary and I recommend a watch to anyone. The Revolutionary War cannon that was on the Rutgers (a.k.a. Queen's) Campus taken from Princeton during the War of 1812 got its biggest PR boost when in 1875 Rutgers students brought the cannon back after it had been stolen away toward Princeton the night of July 3, 1836.

One problem. They took a nearby alternate Revolutionary War cannon that had no connection to Rutgers or New Brunswick and was eventually returned.

But if you watch the end of the documentary, they walk up to the cannon over by a building. But just like in 1875, they're standing at the wrong cannon! The cannon Rutgers wants is in the middle of the campus nicknamed the "Cannon Green." It's right where the seniors graduate and many students have their picture taken in cap and gown with the cannon in the foreground.
