What is this "going under center" of which you speak?
I mean he doesn't really run the air raid to be honest.I was actually wondering if Riley ever did that - especially after being told Air Raid doesnt do that.
Hell, I would take the Delaware Wing T if it gets us 2 yards on 3rd freakin down.Interesting formation - what USC fan wouldn't like to see some plays from the I formation?
This, exactly! How many times did we have to argue against Harrell's ridiculous offense w/ those claiming OK had the same offense? It was never the same!I mean he doesn't really run the air raid to be honest.
Period, and it's not just about the scheme. It's about the fundamentals, and Riley's team plays sound fundamentals. His offense isn't one dimensional; his wide receivers are schemed to get open, and were developed to a high technical level to execute those plays. Lincoln Riley and Graham Harrell's are only comparable in the fact that they both worked or played under Mike Leach. This, exactly! It's like saying a Pontiac Fiero and Ferrari are both "sports cars". Well, technically I guess, but any fool recognizes the difference.
Harrel's offense was heralded w/ certain novelty aspects as "features", like:
- Wide Line Splits
- Ridiculously small playbook
- QB would make quicker reads
- RB would have wider gaps to run through
None of those things happened. It was all a gimmick. You can't hide behind a scheme, unless you're Chip Kelly before the temp rules were enacted. You have to actually play fundamentally sound FB and develop your players (who knew).
Someone tell Riley!!You mean the QB right up behind the center?
Is that legal?!
4 play guru but no goal line plays...
Leave Katz alone Valley lolis that Greg Katz in ten years?
Interesting take and I’m with ya. Leach is genius level, he’s not writing down simple plays just because. The logic and intelligence he has can’t just be copied.Period, and it's not just about the scheme. It's about the fundamentals, and Riley's team plays sound fundamentals. But it's clear that coaches like Riley and Kingsbury were his true successors - that have evolved their offensive play calling ability beyond Leach's foundation - Harrell is just a pretender. That never evolved, only copied from Leach's playbook without learning how it truly functioned beyond the buzzwords and it's basic concepts.
Ya, they got it totally wrong, it's the Harrell Raid that doesn't do that.especially after being told Air Raid doesnt do that.
Facts, and that's what GH was tryin to do, trying be someone he'll never be because it's impossible to be Mike Leach. Or be on the same wavelength as him when it comes to running a pure air raid system. So, we got the poor imitation.Interesting take and I’m with ya. Leach is genius level, he’s not writing down simple plays just because. The logic and intelligence he has can’t just be copied.
Something, that Mike leach would only say in jest - as he's a passing fanatic. But that's supplemented with the fact that he's at a different intellectual level then GH and knows when to give in.Ya, they got it totally wrong, it's the Harrell Raid that doesn't do that.
Hope that “Beloved C*nt” is coaching high school football in Texas next year.4 play guru but no goal line plays...
I thought that was Greg five years ago!is that Greg Katz in ten years?
It was my understanding that this was just too difficult for offense to master!
