Chucky Hepburn proves over and over how much of a winning player he is. In this game, he makes all 6 of his 3 point shots in the first half. I'm sure those in the stands who were close to the floor felt the warmth of the heat check coming from Hepburn.

But in the 2nd half he didn't even take a 3 point shot and finished with 37 points anyway. Now how many players would not take another 3 point shot after making six out of six? He's all about winning.

I think there's several coaches right now who are final 4 contenders who are lamenting not going after Hepburn in the portal. He is the QB of the team on both offense and defense and he's as dedicated to winning as anyone.

If he was doing this at Kansas or Uconn he would be on the Naismith list for player of the year.

Apart from Chucky's and Fatt's awesome night, James made some key plays in the last few minutes of the game.

UL Love affair with Chucky, the team and this staff is so great to see!

Capel is a class act, and his post game comments about Chucky will advance his chances for National accolades, and I appreciated his sentiments about UL’s arena experience returning to our traditional past; those comments bring added respect to college basketball fans and media alike.

Make no mistake, that Pitt team is a whole lot better than their record, as the combination of their talent and size contributed to Scott’s struggles and our inability to post down low with more success. They were positioned for an upset win until they missed those 9 consecutive 3s.

I hope everyone appreciates what this Very experienced team is going on the court. And then, realize how much of this experience will not be back next year. Hepburn is amazing. You don’t get this level of savvy with a FR no matter how talented they may be.

You have it right, Mr. Bardman! Haven't watched the first half but will later. Hepburn is who they turn to when the going gets tough. And, Smith and Chucky do feed off of each other. Again, one game at a time. It's tough these days to have a long steak - but, 17 out of the 18, I believe. Amazing! Wow! Great coaching and players that want to play together. Go Cards! We're playing like a Top 15 team, imo.

It's not been a good game for James Scott.
I have come to realize that Scott has to rely on Chucky to get his points. Edwards has tried a couple of times but his passes are not on the money like Chucky's. I almost feel like Hadley also needs Chucky to give him the ball at the right moment or space. You can't just give it to him on the perimeter and expect him to work his way into the block. I love that Chucky had a big scoring game and probably needed it to get the tough win but I like it when we are getting production from 5 or 6 guys and Chucky is a big part of that.

Just what the doctor ordered imo-Chucky going off from the 3 point line. Now,the scouting report has to change to say he's a 3 point threat and when that happens he can use it to get in the lane with a little more ease.

He didn't use to force his way into the lane and did a lot of his passing on the perimeter. Edwards is the one who got into the lane but he didn't look to pass and is usually able to get his shot off.

That was an exciting game to watch and even better to win! The arena environment was outstanding on TV. I tip my hat to Pitt they played extremely hard and are better than their record shows.
