LSU has a bye also, so us and them will be rested. Their offense is BAD. Almost aa bad as ours, they have no run game. Their OL sucks. However their QB isnt a mobile guy. Our pass rush could be a problem for them.

Ive basically given up on hope for 2025 haha but what if…..we get Sellers back running the ball, and somehow get our OL to become functional, do we have a chance??

We are #1 in the nation in non-offensive TDs. I’ll say that, our D and STs have a knack for creating the spectacular play. 2-3 of those at LSU and we could have a chance

LaNorris was running the ball last night. We also have a load at RB in Fuller if the coaches will play him. The OL needs to improve over the next two weeks for us to have a shot in Baton Rouge.

Two similar teams but they have home field advantage. This is also when Beamer teams historically start pulling things together. This will be an interesting game, and I hope we have a little revenge motivation mixed in.

Don't start thinking we've got a chance.

LSU isn't that great as far as their preseason hype, but they are still better than us. It's a road game. If it's at night, forget about it. Nussmeier hasn't been nearly as good as predicted, but they're gonna be fired up to amend for their loss to Ole Miss.

We need to keep using Sellers as he was used last night. That was the closest I've seen him to last year.

And for the love of Mike, quit being so run heavy.

He has played a little so far this year. He has a pretty low average and a season long run of 6 yards.

That being said, I think hes our best bet and should get more carries going forward.

No matter how bad we think LSU is, they are way better than UK, especially on defense. Nussmeier is light years ahead of that KY QB. They'll be well-balanced, which will neutralize our pass rush... and force us to tackle 1-on-1. We haven't been good in that department. It will take some special plays. Even if we somehow win, expect us to have <300 yds offense and lose the TOP battle.

Let's enjoy beating KY. It might be our high point this year.

He is 100% our best back. FAISON SUUUUCKS and Adaway dances in the backfield too much. Fuller has great pass 6 level, and he falls forward

I think the random upset game happens at some point. Don’t know who nor have a guess other than not against Alabama or Ole Miss.
But for the love of mediocrity beating UK cannot be the high point. As mired in futility as this program has been beating UK has never been a season’s high point.

Yeah, even though Nussmeier hasn't live up to his pre-season Heisman billing (as most of the preseason favorites haven't, he will be 100x better than the UK QB, who was really just a train wreck. Our D got to him, no doubt, but Nussmeier is experienced and won't get flustered like that QB did.

Only way we win this game is to have a large turnover margin advantage, a time of possession advantage, & at least 1 non-offensive score.

We'll need a lot to go right for us to beat LSU in Baton Rouge after they have a bye week.

Having said that, we need to take advantage of the opportunity because after LSU, we have 4 straight games against current top-10 teams.

Last year vs Oklahoma, we had back to back defensive TDs that got us to 21 for the game catapulting us to victory winning 35-9 followed by a bye week.
This year vs UK we had back to back defensive TDS that got us to 21 points for the game catapulting us to victory winning 35-13 followed by a bye week.

They happened at almost the same time (11:30 left in the quarter, but obviously 1st quarter last year, 2nd quarter this year.)

No one likes a bunch of chicken littles. Find some joy and believe.

I had the same thought on my way home from work yesterday. There are some similarities. Both seasons opened with some lackluster games and tough luck losses. Both the OU and UK games featured stout defense and defensive scoring but little offense. Winning on the road at OU is vastly different that winning at home vs UK, but maybe this win can be the spring board to something bigger for the season.
