ok...2 TD passes and running as per usual...I don't get the decision. We're not good enough on defense to take the worst team in FCS for granted.Stoops imagined SJ was hurt evidently.
Maybe same reason Hawkins will start senior day in basketball? It is senior day for a senior. Thought you could give him the start and a series. If went well could set Johnson. Didn't work. It coaches have to be thankful to have him. Came in as a grad transfer to help teach the offense

Right on target.Coaching staff took the game for granted. Not surprisingly, the players fed off that and took the game for granted as well. It explains why the first quarter was the worst performance put forth by any D-I team this year.
Right on target.
Ummm...because he wasn't 100% and the coaches felt he needed to rest and heal. They played the worst team in college football and the team.should have been able to overcome Johnson not being in the lineup. I believe the CATS still would have won big had they left Wright in the game, but they couldn't take that chance. Again, it is no difference than Cal not playing Briscoe. Noone is questioning that move and most have actually defended it.
Actually it isn't a weak comparison. Cal wasn't in a position where he needed a win for the post season. Again, in that case you Ave to bring him in to make sure, but I still believe they would have won even if Wright played the entire game.Of course Cal didn't trail a cupcake 3/4 way through the first half and make Briscoe come back in either. Pretty weak comparison.
