Would not surprise me to see Coach Holder across the creek, it would be interesting to see if he could have the same success with the greyhounds as he did with the bears. Hounds have talent year in and year out , just never seem to do anything with it. Maybe slash has the inside scoop on who all is applying or showing interest in the job

I can't see Coach Holder coaching for the next 4 years until Ian Holder finishes playing college football @ Morehead State University. I can see him going to some or all of Ian's home games.

To be honest with you I haven't heard that much sadly. Believe me I try to question around to everyone I know but it's been all quiet on the northern front. I've been busy with work as I work a lot when Football's not going lol. I'm around North a ton during the pre and actual season. I don't even know the schedule for the next two years yet due to the forced alignment screwing it up. We had Alleghany scheduled for week 4 last year but now MA has it; unless something drastic happened and we dropped them and put our bye then I have no clue who we open with to replace CSD.

Here's what I do know though:

-Both cordinator's from the best I know have applied. They present the best options in terms of continuity in terms of systems and they wouldn't get in each others ways. OC has head coaching experience from down in Georgia and did well there, DC would be a first timer and I didn't think he would want the job. The kids love them both and will play hard for them. DC's very old school in how he runs the D and OC's very lively and brings excitement to everything.

-Outsider wise I expect us to get quite a few as it's been posted on Max Preps.
I expect people from all over here and out of state to look into it. I know in 2012 we had a few intresting names but it won't be nothing like this year.

-I don't think Holder wants to coach again unless he just misses it; plus Ian's playing. Take that out I'd legitly have him as an option. We'd be stupid to not consider him. Same with Johnson too.

-I say it will be in either Feb or March before they make the hire. Lyons was very smart for doing it early because the last 6 coaches have resigned very late in the process dating back to Setzer resigning in April 1995 to go to Hayesville, last coach to resign this early was Carl Sanders in '91. This gives Badgett time to make a hire early which is key and the kids won't have such short time to adjust to it.

I say either of the cordinator's will be my picks for the favorite for now. OC applied before for it so I wouldn't be a bit suprised if he got it. Anything else from those 2 would be seriously iffy and be a risk as we have made much progress from 2010 on and I would despise to see it go south.

We got talent left over so we aren't gonna dip muc. We get Swartz and Badgett back, defense returns 8 or 9 starters and several all conference kids, got some speed in the skill spots, and JV kids are very hard fighters. Plus 2 really good freshman classes these next two years; I expect us to compete for a nice period.

The re-alignment's gonna be huge for us in 2020; hopefully we can get a better fit. Something more like the valley of a Mountain perhaps?
